Convenient. We've moved beyond the discussion topic and you seem to have a lot of curiosity now about the matter. It's your job to answer all your own questions there.

Law enforcement does not have the authority to simply show up at a place of business and demand ID's.It is much like with driving on the roads.
The authorization to work must be proven via documentation since the employer collects taxes.
With a trumptard?Bizarre. Your trolling is rejected. Go scream about Democrats and my reading comprehension to someone who cares. I was trying to engage an intelligent response. Silly me.
I don't disagree. Ideally, this information should be obtainable through a FOIA request such than an individual who feels they were wrongfully detained can bring suit against the Federal government. ICE certainly has record of who is doing what to whom and when, and this information would be discoverable via a lawsuit. The Officer refused to identify themselves and would not provide any information past "you look like someone we are looking for"
So since the officers would not identify themselves... it becomes very hard to get recompense from the government.
This is the situation that we are in right now. Law enforcement who refuse to identify themselves, conceal their identity, using dubious reasoning to detain and ID people and operating without impunity.
It isn't great.
I see them both as part and parcel authoritarian bullshit. If your ok with one but not the other, you’re a damn hypocrite. The police state was the COVIDIANS demanding papers please, a mask, and to be fired, have your kids taken and more if you did not comply.
Trump is a big upgrade from that.
I have my doubts that ICE is keeping records of these encounters.I don't disagree. Why would anyone want to live in that system?

So this encounter where the ICE agent used the excuse “you look like someone we are looking for” to forcibly get a citizen’s ID and refused himself to give his name and badge number…. A justified detention with probable cause?

Truth hurts? That isn't happening. Your limited comprehension is the problem here.
No one cares about your judgement.
Hooman did, that’s who…glad you agree its illegal and he’s an idiotWho said it was? See above.
Nope its your buddy’s prejudiceThat's your prejudice, not mine. There are people here illegally from all over the world.
I lived it…that’s how I knowI see you didn't watch the video either., Just believing the narrative.
Typical.
She has justified reasons to be afraid. I am a citizen and traveling only when I have to.So a question for you. Are you a US citizen or legal resident? My girlfriend is now afraid to travel. She is 100% legal with passport, permanent resident green card, and social security number. The Cuban fear in Florida is high, and she is afraid to travel back here to Portland since the last trip she made from my place here in Portland to Florida-Cuba-Florida. Even though the Trump administration action have caused this, I do not see it being a problem for her, except she is now afraid. I think she should have no problem traveling to Portland with her passport and green card.
Homan certainly didNobody said it did. You really need to get beyond blind trust in MSNBC headlines. Even legitimate news sources often post salacious and false headlines.
What a shock!! Immigration agents using the ethnicity of a migrant as a way to detain illegal border crossers? Never heard of that one before. You want to call it profiling? I call is common sense when deciding whether someone should be detained for closer scrutiny. How does one determine citizenship or legal status based on physical appearance?
I think it occurs. It occurs in all of law enforcement. But I don't think it's the norm. You don't think there's abuse of reasonable suspicion of the right to question and detain happening by immigration enforcement personnel here in SoCal?
I don't see it as justifies as she has the required documentation she can carry to be trouble-free.She has justified reasons to be afraid. I am a citizen and traveling only when I have to.
I don't think you are, because that's not what was said.Dude, I am going off of the words that came out of Homan's mouth.
No he didn't.Hooman did, that’s who…glad you agree its illegal and he’s an idiot
It's your prejudice. You're the one that brought up "brown people" in regards to immigration. It's your biased view. Be better.Nope its your buddy’s prejudice
Okay. What other part of someone's appearance would give you reasonable suspicion?I don't think you are, because that's not what was said.
What does that have to do with what Homan said? He provided a laundry list of things that altll together might rise to the level of reasonable suspicion. Don't be a useful idiot for MSNBC. Be better.Okay. What other part of someone's appearance would give you reasonable suspicion?
But it is.That isn't happening. Your limited comprehension is the problem here.
Family members are demanding answers after they say a man who is a U.S. citizen was wrongfully arrested by federal agents during an immigration raid in Montebello.
On June 12, surveillance video captured the moment several masked and armed agents surrounded a tow truck business in Montebello.
The agents quickly entered the property and began detaining mechanics and other workers at the site.
One of the detained men who was later released spoke to KTLA but asked not to be identified out of safety concerns. He said he was violently grabbed and taken by the agents despite being a U.S. citizen.
“He slammed me to the gate,” the man told KTLA’s Ellina Abovian. “He put my hands behind my back. I’m an American citizen. You do not do that to Americans.”
Nataly Degante, whose cousin, Javier Ramirez, 32, was arrested in the raid, said that while agents began handcuffing everyone, they reportedly never provided identification or information about why they were there.
I was stopped based on nothing other than my name is Hispanic in originIt's your prejudice. You're the one that brought up "brown people" in regards to immigration. It's your biased view. Be better.
So they don't talk about what's happening in the actual world where you get your news?Torture?
More propaganda, huh...
