"The White House believes Europe is undermining Donald Trump’s quest for peace in Ukraine by convincing Volodymyr Zelensky to hold out for a better deal.

Senior White House officials are said to be losing patience with European leaders, who they claim are privately pushing the Ukrainian president to hold out for an unrealistic peace deal.

Members of the Trump administration believe British and French officials are among the most constructive. But they are growing frustrated with European countries that want the US to bear the full cost of the war, while they refuse to contribute, according to Axios."

Trump would like them to sit on their collective fat asses and do nothing. Like him.

OMG, Russia is blaming Europe too! What are the chances.

Its kind of funny. Trump, he of the Art of the Deal, is complaining that Ukraine wants a better deal. Well, you oh great dealmaker, go make it.

I believe one of the first things Keir Starmer did when he met Trump was to explain that the UK (minus Nigel Farage and the Reform Party) are in this for the long term for Ukraine.
Our officials may be being constructive but we're going to continue supporting Ukraine financially and militarily.

This story goes right back to February of this year.

and recently this week, Ukrainian "Flamingo" missiles have been tested on targets in Crimea - British heavy cruise missiles explicitly given approval for remanufacture by Ukraine.

Since a portion of Russia is in Europe, I agree.

so then the contractors needs US boots when they are at risk/subject to an attack....what the **** is wrong with Trump?
He's determined to escalate US presence in Ukraine

Right now Ukraine should continue to put pressure on Russian gas infrastructure to lower revenues and force Russia to burn through its cash reserves as fast as possible.

Trump's letting Putzin pull his strings again.

And
Europe should get off their asses, ignore the bankers, and confiscate all Russian assets they can get their hands on, to give to Ukraine. This not only helps Ukraine, but makes it clear to Russia that their future is nothing but poverty and military insufficiency.

Ivan: Go Home or go Broke.

..............in other words start a new war.

Americans don't know anything other than violence it seems. I'm pretty sure the leaders of the European nations are far more capable of handling Putin than his cheer leader girlfriend in the oval office.

If there is a file that America has ****ed for ALL TIME it is Russia!

Thank MAGA.

I would be 100% fine with European countries giving confiscated Russian and Russian oligarch assets to Ukraine.

At what point is Trump going to figure out he's never going to get a Nobel Peace Prize?

Especially for rewarding the aggressor.

Im sure Euro leaders are capable as well. Interventionism/globalists die hard

Isolationists and appeasers, on the other hand, have historically died easy as hell.

not our war. although Trump seems determined to get involved...contractors then boots

Just like Czechoslovakia wasn't the UK's war.

How did that work out?
next you're going to go full Godwin
There's that weird-assed fixation again.
AI
Encouraging riskier operations: PMCs offer governments a way to conduct military-style operations with less political and public scrutiny than deploying uniformed soldiers. This "plausible deniability" can enable governments to pursue more aggressive or covert foreign policy goals. However, if a PMC's mission fails or creates a crisis, the government may be forced to send in conventional forces to resolve it.

Sorry, I don't take AI slop seriously.

I fully support backing Ukraine and making sure any peace deal is strong and lasting. But Europe needs to put up or shut up. The U.S. has every right to try and seek an end to the war or even withdraw support if it no longer serves our interests. Europeans can’t expect to drag this war out while relying on American money and arms without being ready to carry the load themselves. Russia is ultimately a European security problem, not an American one. Europe should be grateful for the support already given and recognize that they’ve been far too dependent on U.S. protection. It’s long past time for Europe to stand on its own when it comes to security.

When all these globalist European scumbags are going to be thrown out of power ?
