Yes, I saw it exhibited by several pampered country club wives who used to brag to each other how they voted for Obama. My twit of a sister in law was one such person. I asked her why she voted for someone who is completely opposed to her way of life and wants to tax her (in reality my brother since she doesn't work) and she gushed what a good message it would send to elect a "black"

yeah because a millionaire would totally suffer if she missed 1 golf outing a year because she was paying 40% tax instead of 25%

i didn't say you should feel guilty about the difficulties of inner city black men (i don't) but i was responding to X, you challenged a statement i made, and i answered

however, being white and poor *can* be a source of shame in light of the fewer obstacles faced

I really don't care what you think others need. I love seeing people wallow in envy. using your "Logic" no one should own a mercedes when others cannot afford a car. No one should be able to join a tennis club, a spa or have a summer home.

the voters are what counts when it comes to eliminate wealth inequality. It's what leads to the ascension of someone like sanders, and it will happen

you seem deluded by way of your own spoiled background that most americans have any of that. You're also crazy if you think the 1% aren't widely hated. My uncle is a wealthy banker and even his own kids were asking at thanksgiving if he endures much ridicule (they live apart now)

we're in a transitional period where soon just about everyone will come to realize what i already know, and the signs are there. Roper's recent survey found 68% believe that the tax system is overly generous towards the wealthy. In other words they *disagree* with you and they *do* agree with obama on higher taxes

bottom line, our infrastructure is collapsing, K-12 is a disgrace, and the only ones who can afford to correct that anymore are the wealthy. Even a majority agrees with taxing the rich specifically to redistribute wealth.

But here is the most revealing sign: the % who believe it's possible to start out poor and become rich has gone down from 82 to 64 in just 4 years. When that reaches 40% in a few years, you will definitely see a huge tax increase. Time to pay up
