I have say this article has a point, the killing of Kurds has been going on for generations, although I suppose it's alright by the European community, the leftist in the U.S. and the main stream media. The link I posted I will expect to be chastised for linking to a Israeli source, non the less here it is.

There are already a few threads on this.

Here's the difference though. Turkey has an agreement with the US and Iraq as far as operating in northern Iraq. Turkey does not occupy northern Iraq, unlike Israel's occupation of the Gaza Strip. When Turkey says it tries to minimize civilian casualities, you can see that occur. When Israel says the same thing, its actions contradict that (as we saw from Operation Cast Lead; who the hell uses artillery shells on built-up neighborhoods?).

Erdogan a supporter of fellow Islamists Hamas at the expense of decades of alliance with the USA and Israel.

Turkey’s Terrorist Bias. Part 1 (The State)
Kurdishaspect.com - By AN

This is the first of two articles focusing on the biased in Turkey towards one militant group, Hamas, over another, the PKK.
The Turkish state and media have different, conflicting, attitudes towards the Kurdistan Workers party (PKK) and the Palestinian Hamas. - The famous quote “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” holds true as much today as it always has, especially, and absurdly, within Turkey.

In recent years the Turkish state’s relations with Israel have seen a gradual decline since the ascendency to power of the Islamist rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP Turkish acronym) in 2004. Alongside this deterioration of relations has arisen a bias in Turkey, both from the state and the media, in their approach to dealing with two militant groups that most countries recognize as terrorist organizations.

Hamas on the one hand, opposed to the existence of Israel, has fought a bloody war with that country since the 1990s, whilst the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has been fighting Turkey since 1984, initially demanding a separate state for Turkey’s Kurds, but later changing their demands, calling instead for cultural and political rights for Kurds.
[........]
The AKP has taken a critical approach towards Israel on the Palestinian issue, increasingly so since the 2009 Israeli offensive on Gaza, as highlighted in the very public spat between Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli President Shimon Peres at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Relations between the two countries have become so bad that Erdogan has started lobbying for the recognition of Hamas as a legitimate representative of the Palestinian people despite that organizations refusal to recognize Israel’s right to exist.
[.........]
Further still, the situation has worsened with the recent Gaza flotilla incident where 9 Turkish nationals were killed by Israeli commandos. As a result Erdogan and the AKP party have taken an even harsher tone towards Israel with reference to Hamas, putting Turkish-Israeli relations at an unprecedented low.
“I do not think that Hamas is a terrorist organization…They are Palestinians in resistance, fighting for their own land
Taking Erdogan’s logic on why Hamas should be recognized on the grounds of winning the 2006 elections, it is possible to see a double standard in his approach."......."

And it does so using Israeli drones. (Herons)
Go figure, really.

Here's another difference. Israel is ONLY oppressing the Palestinians. Turkey likes to oppress MANY nations.

Kurdistan region of Iraq may not be occupied but half of Cyprus is, illegally, by Turkey, for 36 years. And Turkey does not support the Cypriots the right to return to their ancestral homes. That's 1 nation oppressed.

Then the, Kurds, no-one really needs to elaborate on the oppression, suppression of culture, forced assimilation, annihilation of thousands of towns and villages, forced displacement of millions, oppression of freedom of speech, denial of basic rights, apartheid, imprisonment of children (as young as 12 years), and general culture genocide committed by Turkey on the Kurds... oh wait maybe a little elaboration was done there. Got more but no time to write it all.

That's 2 nations oppressed.

The Armenians, a people that suffered the first genocide of the 20th century, 1.8million annihilated by the ottoman turks and then the young turks who changed many things about turkey but were particularly fond of retaining that old Ottoman habit of barbarity. The result, a people that had lived from time immemorial on their ancestral land, a sophisticated cultured people with a long and fruitful history, destroyed because they wanted to be free of Turkey. And to top that cake of brutality they placed a nice cherry of genocide denial on it. The Nazis certainly learned well from the Turks about genocide/final solution, but they never surpassed their teachers because the Germans have admitted their crimes. Turkey? nope

That's 3.....3 oppressed nations children ah ah ah! :D Oh the irony must be sinking in by now.

But wait, there could be more?.... yes yes there is! The Christian Greek Orthodox minority and their ancient religious places of worship in Constantinople AKA Istanbul. They are denied equal rights as Muslim Turks and are harassed by the authorities, not allowed to own land in many cases and randomly assassinated or threatened to be assassinated even though Istanbul was their home way before the central Asiatic turks set off on their journey of destruction from the fringes of Mongolia.

Israel may not put on a pretty show, and they definitely need to be held accountable for their crimes against the Palestinians. But good lord is Turkey in no position to be the condemning them.

Israel appears more like the apprentice when compared to the dark sith lord Turkey.

Hey Turk how's it going?

I think you're in a very good position to use the word propaganda, but I don't think 'homework' is something that suits you.

Lets not get spiteful now, missy. :)
Let me correct your sources.

Cyprus was liberated when the Turkish cypriots where forced into enclaves by EOKA, the then socialist terrorist organization aimed at ethnicly cleansing the island and joining it to Greece.
Turkey eventually retaliated after an athens backed coup on the island.

It would be like a French uprising in Jersey island aimed at the genocide of Britons and the union of Jersey under French sovereign, and then the UK sending troops to liberate the island and essentially creating a Briton safe zone in the North (hence dividing the island - current scenario in Cyprus). Northern Cyprus is a Turkish republic, with its own government. Turkey is there to protect them from the hostile South. So you fail.

Regarding the Kurds, idiotic, backwards thinking caused the opression of our Kurdish populations. As a Turk im disgusted by past nationalist sentiments which lead to there oppression.
The Kurdish initiative, however, has given them minority rights, has stopped there cultural and linguistic oppression. They live in a free Turkey today. They can speak there language on TV, rename Kurdish villages and even take Kurdish language courses at uni.
Didn't know this did you? Ignorance is bliss.

Regarding the Armenian genocide - it happened! Yes, a Turk admitted it. I know it happened, i wish Turkey admitted it too.
But at the end of the day, we dont care. Because it happened over 100 years ago. And its high time we move on.

EDIT: Please provide me sources where the government openly advocates the harrasement of religious figures. Last i checked, the government helped the Armenian community to form an agreement to choose there next patriarch.

Anything else?

Flying CAS missions while Turkish F4s bombed Kurdish villages there is one word that describes your response. Bull****.

Devoid of logic and reason.
