Some totally-not-racist people say that they were left-wing in 2008, then Obama was elected which finally drove them into the right-wing around 2016. Because, you know, extremists took over the Democratic party. So if you're out there, which radical leftist Obama era policy drove you into the arms of Trump?

It drove them to trump because Obama is black. They could not handle a party that would elect a black president.

History quiz: Who led the racist, "birther" movement? LOL Figures, right?

The funny part is that righties actually think that Obama was a radical leftist.

Hell, his signature accomplishment, the ACA, was originally a product of the Heritage Foundation.

I can't imagine how much glue you'd have to huff to think that Obama was a radical liberal, or that at the time of 2016, anything close to a progressive movement had taken over the Democratic party. It's 2022 and there's like half a dozen progressives in Congress with almost no power.

In 2016, Steve King was so extreme that he was eventually thrown out of the Republican party. He'd be a moderate Republican by 2022 standards. Hell, Jeff Sessions was too racist for the Republican party in the 1980s, and he's like a LIBERAL Republican now.

But Elon Musk just had to go totally right-wing because Obama era Democrats had lost it. You can't write this stuff.

It's kinda funny that, at this point, there's some grey area in what they're saying. Because Obama is old news but not ancient news. In 10 years when someone says, "Obama drove me away", there will be absolutely no doubt about what they're saying.

Don't you mean "a half-black man, a Democrat, was elected president"?

A Black man in the White house? How could any true American stand it?

Maybe some people became disillusioned with the Obama Administration when it decided that public school students could no longer be suspended for defiance.

The activists convinced the Obama Administration that suspension was unfair because most of the suspended students were members of two certain ethnicities.

When people pointed out that those two ethnicities were the ones who were the most defiant, the Administration -- of course-- dismissed their explanation.

Wow, all these years I thought school issues were decided at the state and county level, who knew the president would decide these things.

And now has over 35 million enrolled.

Which executive order is this in, because if it isn't in one...it didn't happen.

Who told you this?

A racist. It's a racist-check. Someone spews that moronic crap and there is no way anyone agrees with them unless they, too, are a racist. It's like a secret hand shake. If someone responds, "yeah, he did that!" then one knows - 100% - they're a racist.

It's a way for racists to recognize each other. It's a communication tool for them. It's not really different than "he's Kenyan".

I knew when I saw this thread that if I kept reading I'd find a really really stupidly funny response. Thanks for the laugh.

LOL You mean this...?

Obama Administration Asks Schools to Drop Zero-Tolerance Approach

Today, the Obama administration urged teachers to end long-held no-tolerance discipline programs, which many have criticized as funneling black and hispanic students through the "school-to-prison" pipeline.

That he "asked" for more tolerance? My God are you a snowflake or what?

What a pant load of cabbage,

Your title invoked such repulsed reaction I didn't read any further.

The only way I would find that funny is if I thought stupidity was funny.

Who told you this?
Nobody told me.

It was in the news.

The Obama Administration was very proud of this action (carried out by that very nice gentleman who was the first Attorney General in the Obama Administration).

Here in Los Angeles, the (liberal) Board of Education was delighted. "See," it intimated, "your Board is being very successful in improving the behavior of our students. Almost no more suspensions for defiance." (There were ugly rumors that principals were trying to find other ways to suspend troublemakers.)

So you are fond of zero tolerance when dealing with children? What kind of monster are you? I hope you are not a father. Here's a news flash for you. This just in "Children make mistakes"

Only a racist could misconstrue opposition to zero-tolerance as opposition to discipline.
