It's trollish, Cortez said Chambers of government instead of branches.
If you do a google search for it, it's all these right wing propaganda sites blasting her for it. Renae is just carrying water for by parroting it here.

But she even got the branches wrong.
Look, if you're seriously thinking of adopting the role of apologist for Alexandria...

It was definitely a dumb mistake, but she has a LONG way to go before getting anywhere near the new bar Trump has set.

I absolutely agree and we all make gaffs. I will however add considering her lack of experience and education. I don't think it will take her long to catch Trump, lol.

All three branches are equally important.

As for Cortez - if you record every word someone says eventually they'll unintentionally say something incorrect or stupid. That's life. Happens to all of us.

She’ll need to say something like that on a near daily basis for the next two years. Possible, but it will take some work. :)

The chamber of PEOPLE. Cortez is connected with her constituents and knows what they need and want. That is far more important than anything else at this point and I look forward to her championing the real issues Americans face.

Without having a clue how Government works, she thinks Government is the answer... right.

some would note that is a testament to how stupid her voters are. She beat a well established, well respected Democrat leader to get to her seat.

They're all equal.

Better than they do. Right?

Other.

The government does not consist of "chambers"; it consists of branches.

One branch, the Legislative Branch, consists of two chambers; House and Senate, which are effectively now the "Big" House and the "Little" House...

Alexandria doesn't even understand her own government that she is supposedly representing...

Hehe I couldn't pass up this poll, I couldn't believe she said that... Trump might be an ass, and say things that make you scratch your head, but this twit maxes out the stupid meter daily.

I think she also mumbled something like white people should not represent districts where they differ demographically
with their constituents. The old line democratic leaders who desperately counted on minorities for their power are going to
have a hat full of problems with this one. It's going to be fun to watch a democratic food fight!

The federal legislature is the most powerful branch (not chamber) of the federal government.

The WH/Executive branch isn't a "chamber" of government, so it cannot be aptly compared to either single chamber of Congress. The House and Senate are chambers of Congress, of the federal legislature. With the possible exception of the POTUS' pardon power, none of the governmental units is unilaterally omnipotent, thus none is thus most important. Between the House and Senate, the Senate is clearly the more powerful, thus more important.

If going after a simple miscue on a livestream is all you've got, then damn.

She thinks socialism is the answer.

It's not just one... But please feel free to keep pushing that.

She is clearly very intelligent and a helluva politician. Scary for the regressives, I know.

New blood has to start some where. Being 29 and a brand new US Congress person isn't a bad place. I'm sure Ms. Cortez appreciates anytime she can make a news cycle gratis conservatives with all the attention she is drawing.

Well I suppose as a liberal you don't care about how stupid a representative is, you know she won't think enough to not do as she's told.

She's not intelligent, she's an IDIOT. Grade A Idiot. And your side, are the regressives, in fact, did you know she supports racial segregation? I bet you didn't know that.

She really isn't particularly scary for most conservatives. (raises hand)

The lady is smart in that she knew what buttons to push in the district where she won. Pretty basic for any successful local politician. But her "banner for socialism" isn't going to play well in too many circles. Can't see her getting a whole lot of traction outside her current limited world.

I haven't seen one single iota of "intelligence" displayed from her as of yet...

Her not knowing how her own government works is just another cherry on top of the doozy cake...

29 year old freshman House members make mistakes they learn from. A 72 year old President we are stuck with for a while on the other hand...….. Either one who is truly stupid will be gone in two years. My bet is on the freshman congress person to still be here after Trump is gone.

There are mistakes, and then there are people like her. She is a mistake all right, but she's y'alls...

Why would you care? She's a lone congress-critter. Meanwhile, you voted for this idiot.
Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.) left the meeting worried about Trump’s grasp on the basics of the Constitution. At a lunch with reporters afterward, he recalled that the candidate did not seem to know what he was promising to defend.

“I wasn’t particularly impressed,” Sanford said. “It was the normal stream of consciousness that’s long on hyperbole and short on facts. At one point, somebody asked about Article I powers: What will you do to protect them? I think his response was, ‘I want to protect Article I, Article II, Article XII,’ going down the list. There is no Article XII.”
^^ he's referring to Trump.
