Where do you sit on the political compass exactly?

No, it's just that not many conservatives have opted to take this test thus far....they'll be along.

I'm not talking conservative-liberal, I am talking left-right on just the economic scale. It seems most people tend to lean to the left.

Well we have had 3 democrats and a communist take it.

Like McCoy said, we have a wide spectrum of views here. Basically, anyone can find at least one soulmate here, lol. There just haven't been that many hits on this thread yet.

Ah soulmates.

Currently searching for a young female libertarian with good looks. Must be strongly anti-government and willing to support me in my plans to reform or overthrow them. I hope she likes assault weapons and despises censorship!

LOL. Maybe we ought to start a DP Personals thread.

Does everyone here have that much disdain for the free market?

No. Its just that this simple equation shows probably why we are in our position. Free market minus intervention=stupidity.

Also I'm worried about my score, I'm +.15 more authoritian than last time I took this test with a score of -8.77.

Is there a right score or a wrong score?

Your pic. looks kind of scary. Are you a terrorist?

No.

But what score did you get? Or are you afraid that your social scale was higher than the -8.62 as mine was? Because you seem awful certain you're more "freedom-loving" than I. Though I guess my view of freedom equals different views than most.

Economic Left/Right: -3.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.67

I moved right and down since the last time I took this test. I think I'm turning into an anarchist.

The probably I have with libertarianism and anarchism is that they give too much freedom for the corporations to run wild. If we let them do what they want, then they will end up turning into our government. I think that a good way to solve this might be to form some kind of "consumer union" within a capitalist society that would boycott businesses that behave badly. However, until something like that happens, I say regulate them!

Finn..... If you were turning into an anarchist, I would already be one with my score of:

Economic Left/Right: -10.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.62

Rather extreme on both scales.

Weird I changed alot since the last time I took it. Last time I think I was a -10 -6, Now I'm a -7 -4. Maybe it's because I took it relatively fast...

No, but I f**king hate the government. I would not resort to violence though unless they become a full-blown dictatorship.

No, I am a libertarian my communist friend.

The main thing that I don't understand about libertarians is that they claim to be all about civil right yet most are pro-life. Libertarians seem close to cons in my opinion.

Unlike cons we promote individual rights and less government. Most cons are now in the clearly big government neo-con camp. I guess we are the true cons whereas the GOP represents phony conservatism.

Your a libertarian yet you support Bush authorizing the NSA to spy on people?

I don't adhere to any single ideology.

Yeah, probably because it doesn't work.
I find it curious that the only Communist nations that haven't fallen have only done so by allowing businesses based on free trade to do business in their borders.

And yet our red friends still cling to the socialist/communist philosophy.

At the risk of straying off topic, I'm located a teensy weensy distance to the south west of dead centre.
