It seems that god in the bible was very active- people saw him as a burning bush, he caused a worldwide flood, destroyed whole cities and stuff, and even sent down his son so he could kill him on the cross.

But then ... nothing. He seems to have disappeared. Why is that?

Since he is supposed to be omnipotent then all he has to do is show a little of himself to everybody and silence any doubters and disbelievers.

But, there's nothing. Not even a hint of his presence is known.

So why doesnt he show himself again? What's stopping him?

Non-existence?

I believe it is no small coincidence that the manifestation of the biblical God diminished in direct proportion to mankind's diminished capacity for superstition.

There's no reason to think that these are more than myths or that God ever existed at all.
