For years now we have been hearing almost daily news reports of what the former president said or did that day based on " unnamed sources inside the White House "

Yet after the first two months of the new administration I have yet to hear a single news story on the current president based on " unnamed sources inside the White House " ?

Where did all the " unnamed sources inside the White House " go to ?

Did they all retire ?

Why isn't the national media complex upset about no longer getting even one little detail from " unnamed sources inside the White House " after two months ?

I think since he actually talks to the press they don't have to rely on unnamed sources. Sorry if others have said this, I don't have the patience to wade through dozens of comments that presumably point out how obvious the difference is.

1. Mental Health,

2. Physical Health,

3. Which "staffer" or "Politician" is actually creating this or that E.A.'s or E.O.'s?

4. Where is Kamala Harris after being assigned the "border crisis?"

5. Where is the Media "Poutrage" regarding Biden's excessive usage of item's in "3" above? Especially in light of his own campaign comments about Democracy by legislation, not Dictatorship via Executive Orders?

6. Any connection between Hunter Biden and President Biden with Burisma, China, or any other "nefarious" enterprise.

Daily press briefings and a lack of stupidity negates the value of leaks in Biden's White House.

Hey - what is it with the blinders the Trump apologists insist on wearing? The questions about Trump's mental health came from those who worked side by side with him every day.

This is something I find most disturbing. Those who know Mr. Trump the least have the highest opinion of him, and those who were closest to him are the people who were the most willing "unnamed sources". They described, in great detail, his aberrant behavior, exposing his litany of psycho-pathologies, just as they described exactly how thoroughly unprepared, unqualified, and unpleasant the man could be. How impossible he was to work with; how tiny his attention span was; how overblown his ego was; how he would go into meetings designed to deal with some topic of national importance - and then simply devolve into an incoherent off-topic rant; how he refused to even bother to read his daily briefings - or indeed, how one staffer put it, that they had to make sure Trump's name appeared in every paragraph to have any hope of him reading until the end; . . . . and on and on.

Let me ask you a few questions. How many books from the White House insiders have you read? Any? Even one?? How many insider "tell-alls" about Trump do you anticipate will be published in the near future? Did you honestly expect the media to not address the contents of those books? Why? Why wouldn't they?
And - please be honest - how many insider "tell-alls" do you think will ever be written about Joe Biden? See the difference?

When it comes to any presidency, unnamed sources - the topic of this OP - are the sources the press relies on in order to confirm insider information, often including the administration's dirty laundry. Does anybody in their right mind expect there to be as much dirty laundry in a Biden administration as there was in Trump's? Nobody who doesn't live a self-made echo chamber would think they'd be the same.

Certainly, the national media is upset about this. But the difference in leadership styles of Trump and Biden help explain why there are no leaks. Trump led through chaos and this often pitted competing interests in the White HOuse against one another. Leaking to the press is one weapon of these interests to get their point across, either to the American people or to Trump, through the media. Biden does not lead like that. He makes it clear where he is headed on a certain policy and probably listens to the different interests who usually know just where they stand.
