~ but that's a lovely house to my eyes.
Looks like Gandalf the Grey could walk in at any time and take you away on an adventure though.

And that's a bad thing?
There be Orcs living in the bodega.Looks like Gandalf the Grey could walk in at any time and take you away on an adventure though.
I doubt that to suffice.Well, if he was prepared to wave a magic wand over those tiles first...
A friend of mine who once worked as an estate agent told me that it was amazing that colour schemes and bathroom fittings were among the top reasons why people would buy or reject a property at first viewing, as if they weren't perhaps the very easiest things to change.Well, if he was prepared to wave a magic wand over those tiles first...
Those would be the neighbours. There be Orcs living in the bodega.
SDS? Wazzat?Probably an SDS job.
Not bad, are condominiums built sound proofed though? I've gotten to that age I don't want to listen to my neighbour's or their kids music if I don't have to.
That's the first time I've ever used a sentence with "condominium" in it.
Though that kind of place is definitely not somewhere for a person of your age to live. It is the up and coming hipster area of Montreal.
Special Demolition Service, cousin to the SAS ~.....................SDS? Wazzat?
I'm out then. I no more want a Starbucks or an artisan burger restaurant in my area than I do a fracking concession!
Yeah, wife was like that. Always held me to have a special gift for being able to picture what could be done with a place by changing it.A friend of mine who once worked as an estate agent told me that it was amazing that colour schemes and bathroom fittings were among the top reasons why people would buy or reject a property at first viewing, as if they weren't perhaps the very easiest things to change................~
At least you could actually afford that, a similar place would run you at least half a million in Toronto.

Seriously though,.................. SDS drill
IC was trying to kill himself with one last week and, seeing how that failed, by all accounts is having another go today.
Probably quite similar, but without the racism, gay bashing, trigger-happy police or rampaging fundies. :mrgreen:It is like the Southern US
I'm about to sell my place in London. It's a bit bigger than the one you posted, similar modernist style but 2-bed, up-and-coming area, and in easy commute of central London. Estate agent (realtor) has told me to list it for 500k GBP (C$860k)! I'm hoping the British economy doesn't tank entirely before I've got it sold.
I've got some very good friends live in Woking, St John's area. They've also got a house here. I know which they prefer.
I mean yes the Costa Del Sol has beaches, mountains and Sunshine but does it have a Greggs or a Nando's?

Here's wishing you luck~.......................after 3 hours my arms were back to jelly. Ended up with a small lump hammer and cold chisel and even then, felt like my arms were going to fall off.
Job done now, should be able to get the new kitchen before September now. I'd build it myself if I had the time but have to settle for a local specialist company fitting us out.
It is like the Southern US, living costs are low but you have to live in the Southern US. There is a reason living costs are low.
While low income makes living costs low, it's not the only reason. You can find the near perfect storm of good opportunity and low living costs. Consider Omaha, Nebraska. I make my comments with the thought someone could make a life decision on what I say.

Not a snowball's chance in hell that anyone would ever consider Omaha, Nebraska. At least Texas has Austin.
Doesn't Warren Buffet live there?
