Where Biden and Trump stand on key issues

Isn't it time for an issues debate vs. politics of personal destruction? Can posters show some intellectual honesty for a change and actually debate issues. My Pro Trump stance is on display here and for those of you so called independents/moderates it is time to look at issues and clarify your stance.

Trump has my support on the economy,

reopen and let the market set wages and lower taxes.

NO to massive Green Energy policies(Solyndra),

law and order,

holding cities and states responsible for rioting, looting, and destruction, no defunding of police, No federal funds for rebuilding due to rioting. Pro police

Healthcare

Anti Obamacare and a return to states' rights and responsibilities including healthcare certainly no Medicare for all,

Immigration

No sanctuary cities, legal NOT illegal immigration

NO DACA, stop providing incentive for illegals to come to this country to have kids

Border Wall

Zero tolerance policy for immigration violators

State and city support for ICE

Climate change

See economic policies

No banning of coal and fracking

No support for the Paris accord without Chinese, India, Russia changes in policies

Foreign policy

America first

No longer world's policeman

Stand up to China and their currency manipulation and intellectual currency theft

No support for Iran nuclear deal without proper international verification

NATO countries paying their fair share

How about it, Liberals, isn't it time for a debate on this issues? Care to explain what Biden did for over 45 years in public service on these issues and why Harris would be a better choice than a former governor a heartbeat from the Presidency?

Trump - murder 192,000 Americans and refer to US soldiers as "losers and suckers".

Oh ... and kill off all healthcare protections, and terminate payroll taxes for Social Security and Medicare.

And remove all regulations on polluting corporations, label global warming a hoax, and stab our allies in the back.

And ignore Russian bounties on US soldiers, and pardon his convicted friends and war criminals.

I could go on and on about "Trump policies".

Can't have an actual discussion on the issues and policies....that would be too intelligent.

Don't bother reading Con's biased analysis. Just go the the link and read it yourself.
Where Biden and Trump stand on key issues

This one stuck out for Me:

Obamacare

Biden's PositionTrump's Position
Has vowed to bolster the ACA. Biden’s proposed healthcare plan would cost $750 billion over 10 years and would be financed by increasing taxes on the wealthy, according to his campaign.
Does not support a single-payer system like Medicare for All. Instead calls for a Medicare-like public option that would serve as an alternative, not a replacement, for private insurance.
Has used executive power and the courts to undermine the Affordable Care Act (ACA), popularly known as Obamacare, after years of failed attempts by Republican lawmakers to repeal it.
Has not proposed a comprehensive replacement, despite Trump’s vow to deliver a better, less-costly healthcare system.

Trump has ruined the economy by failing to respond adequately to the virus, and in fact has made the virus matter worse. Prior to the virus, the economy was nothing more than a continuance of the Obama economy, Trump standing on Obama’s economic shoulders.

Other that fed min wage law that is below a living wage, the mkt already sets wages and the result has been an ever-widening gap btx the lower income brackets vs the higher. The mkt doesn’t set taxes, the govt does. Trump lowered taxes for the rich and large corps and gave the avg. American Trumps, breaking his promise of a 10% tax cut for the middle class.

We need more green energy and other measures of lowering carbon emission. The fires raging in CA and OR are examples of AGW.

We already are a law and order nation and pro-police. Still, we should right wrong and LEO are human and the system they work withing is not perfect and subject to law and order themselves and itself. The only “defunding” of police would be reducing budgets where such as mental health response is given to where it belongs, social dept, and LEO duties are reduced to core responsibilities.

Cities and states are already responsible for rioting, looting, and destruction. The feds should interfere unless asked. It’s not local govt that causes a riot, so what fed funds are legally available should remain so.

Obamacare provides coverage for many million more than before and covers more than before, such as pre-existing condition, that better assures a healthy American to maintain a productive work force and contribute to society. If anything, in needs to be evolved to a Medicare for all or a UHC which are proven to cost less with better outcomes.

There are no sanctuary cities. There are cities that won’t use their police time to do the fed’s job for which the fed govt will not reimburse the local/state govt. It’s a waste of time/money that could be spent on more demanding issue.

DACA is legal and constitutional and presents no threat or economic challenge detrimental to the US economy that can be proven.

The border wall as promised by Trump in campaigning for president is impracticable and beyond any rational measure of cost-benefit in both reality and as proposed.

Immigration violators should be dealt with according to law as any other violator of law.

No local support of ICE that would cost the locals w/o reimbursement or take away resource better used elsewhere as seen fit by local govt, not the fed.

There is no current or proposed ban on coal mining or fracking.

Why should we not join the Paris Accord just because some particular other country does not?

Every nation should consider themselves “first”, as Trump said Himself, as to their own best interest. It does not mean we should retreat from the world, Amexit, into nationalism.
Especially while firsting ourselves over our allies while speaking well of the enemies of democracy and America.

We should assure that others participate in some fair proportion given armed conflict in the world where there is such as a NATO agreement enforcement, if that’s what is meant by “world’s policeman”. How that is determined is the question.

The trade gap with China has widened under Trump, which is the measure Trump has pointed to as where previous presidents have failed and He will correct. One can’t expect a richer country to export more than it imports when they consume (buy) more than the other country. So, theoretically, the richest country would have the widest trade gap, barring socio-economic norms.

There is no currency manipulation by China and you can’t provide proof of such. And, it’s our own US companies that are giving away IP, the results of which are lower cost product to US consumers. US companies don’t care about sending labor overseas at the expense of US consumer’s labor wages, why should the US consumer care that sending our IP overseas to their own advantage be concern? The bigger problem is the Trump/US negative attitude toward foreigners coming over to use our education system. They become the intellect in IP, and normally stay to become a part of the wellspring that is IP. But an anti-immigrant policy keeps them out.

We had verification by the IEA under the Iran agreement that Trump blew up and thus motivated Iran to advance nuclear armament program.

Years ago, before Trump, NATO countries agreed to increase their share of contribution and have been doing so. That schedule has not changed under Trump.

Raise taxes that Trump gave away to the rich and large corps.

Spend more in proportion to whom is in the greatest need, not to those who have no need.

It isn't Biden's only position but then lying is all you ever do. The only way Trump supporters make America great again is by passing away.

Look at any of Biden's positions. They all result in either raising taxes or spending money...often both.

And what the **** has Trump done? He's given tax cuts to the rich and spent money. Sorry but your lies are well known and no, not all his positions are raising taxes and spending money so you are LYING. What is it about Trump supporters that make them dishonest POS?

I find it pathetic that you feel the need to deflect to "what the **** has Trump done" in a thread that deals with where Trump and Biden stand on key issues, but...to answer your question, here's a partial list of what Trump has done.

Biden has been in public service for over 45 years, name for me his accomplishments? Care to explain his racism?

He was second in command to Obama so name those accomplishments?

So Trump ruined the economy by not having the authority to reopen states around the country? You have bought into the liberal politics of personal destruction narrative without an ounce of fact supporting you

obviously actual data and facts don't resonate with you, what is the Trump vs. Biden poll numbers on the economy even with the virus?

As for foreign affairs, your support for radical Iran is on full display which is why you have zero credibility. Open borders, illegal immigration, sanctuary cities, violence in the cities, defunding the police, these are issues that resonate not your personal attacks and total lack of intellectual honesty on the issues

So keeping more of what you earn is a gov't giveaway? Is this really an accurate statement? Wow, have you been indoctrinated, have you sent your tax cut back? And oh by the way, don't confuse withholding deductions with you paying more in federal income taxes, your state and inability to deduct fully those taxes is the culprit not Trump

i hear that Biden is against lying to Americans which then causes 10s of thousands of extra Americans to die during a pandemic.

one would think that would be a deal breaker for Trump. BUT, we just have way too many QAnon nut jobs, Rush Republicans, fake Christians and Fox News watchers that will not hold Trump accountable for his own actions (lies).

they also aren't the party of personal responsibility. but didn't we all know that.
