Early Friday, multiple suspects approached a couple in the parking lot of an apartment complex in south Charlotte. When they tried to rob the husband at gunpoint, the woman, an off-duty Charlotte-Mecklenburg officer, took out her gun and fired it, police said.
According to the police, the other suspects fired back then fled the scene, and a 17-year-old male suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officer, Emily Bishop, was unharmed.

Fair warning...the suspect looks like an upright sheepdog.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is fighting for his life after being shot in the head, and the shooting is the fallout from a fight at a nightclub, San Antonio Police said.
The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the city's northeast side.
Police said the couple was arguing at a club when a security guard broke them up. The guard then offered to drive the woman to another location to avoid further altercations.
The man followed the security guard and the woman down I-35. The guard pulled over on 35 and 410 West Bound Ramp.
That's when police say the man attempted to run over the security guard. The guard pulled a gun, shooting him in the head, authorities said.
The man was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition. The security guard and woman were taken in for questioning. So far, no charges have been filed.

The winner of the Darwin Award is which of these scumbags ?

Kinda hard to say; the end of the year awards are going to have to be reviewed before we start the 2020 rollup.

As I noted, you want criminals able to attack and harm honest people with far less fear of counter-attacks

No, I want to disarm the criminals too (and also the future criminals who are currently "law abiding").

why do you have such a tough time answering a question that even 9 year old kids I coach can answer easily

who is more likely to be disarmed by your proposed schemes

1)honest folks who have clean records or

2) violent criminals who already violate federal laws banning them from having guns?

Why do you have such a hard time comprehending answers ?

The more "honest" a person is, the quicker his/her guns will be confiscated and destroyed.

But make no mistake, the object would be to confiscate all guns (less those subject to exception)

The more criminal elements of society will hold on to guns for a longer time.

And before you wail about excuse 2.2, you will be allowed some guns - just like in the UK.

Home made guns.

Will be made illegal. Anyone caught with one serves a life sentence.

Ditto if a back yard machine shop is caught making them.

I don't think home made guns would be a significant issue.

A life sentence for making a firearm....

Draconian doesn't even describe that.

Again, the lawful will be disarmed. The unlawful won't be.

Yes treat making home made guns like making and supplying drugs

The lawful and eventually the lawless will be disarmed.

Yes the "honest" citizens would lose their guns first

No, there will always be some people with gun, the eradication of private gun ownership will never be 100%

Making and supplying drugs are not life sentence violations last time I checked.

And Australian criminals have proven to be adept at making guns.
