Okay, so people are going well out of their way to make something about race, that apparently wasn't important enough to talk about, until now?

Is there even a reasonable conversation to be had here, or is it going to be the usual posters crying "orange man bad" and "He's basically Hitler" all over again?
 

Cuccinelli, (good old ‘Merican family name,) ought to keep some things to himself. He was all prepared when they first asked him about the inscription on the SoL tablets, then he let his mouth get away from him or he didn’t. You think the Administration is trolling, naming Ken as acting whatever at the Immigration Dept?

To Cuccinelli’s defense, he was on camera and live, not behind a keyboard, able to look at his words before hitting ‘quick reply.’ It’s not called the European Statue of Liberty. You were the one who went to default defense defending Trump against Hitler comparisons that weren’t in the OP.

You do realize that the people who keep batting against this, are the same people who believe almost every poor country is a non-white county?

News flash for the topic, but the policy that is being given the run around here is a merit based one, and not even that hard of one. So long as you don't go for almost a whole year receiving government aid, you'll be fine. Hell, we don't even know yet if ay of those aid packages will be excluded from such a program anyway, and people are doing the usual. Coming out of the woodwork to claim "racism, white-nationalism" or some other crap like that.

This is the kind of **** that make the journalism like this, a continuous laughing stock.

The writer didn't kick back at such a presumption and just let it go without challenging it.
 

You won’t get any argument from me as to the immigration issue facing the US. My problem is the ham-fisted way it is being dealt with. You can’t argue, on one hand, that unemployment is at historic lows and then turn around and argue ‘they’re taking our jobs.’ There is a reason that Cuccinelli failed in his bid for Virginia Governor.

The amount of blowback this got was unnecessary in my opinion.

Now as for poor white countries, I really can't say directly. We'd have to come to a consensus as to what dictates poor in this instance. Like yearly, or daily earnings. Because you've got some places where someone can earn less than a five dollars a day, and still manage to live a decently normal life. I will point out however that if we go by what is considered a first, second, and third world country. A majority of the first world countries are majority white. Though that can be attributed to either how stable they've been for the past few centuries, or how powerful their economies are in general.

On the issue of immigration and job availability.
I like the idea of having more jobs available and letting more people in. Though for most people who are of the center to the right persuasion. It's not liking the idea of flooding the country with low skilled labor, or even more people who're more likely to be a drain on the state.

Honestly, I'd like it if these countries could get their **** together. Instead of making things so bad that their people feel it's necessary to leave and go to another country to simply survive. We could take in millions a year, and still not make a dent in the issue. While screwing ourselves over as we try to do as such.

Can you imagine what would happen to the USA if we let people come here for economic reasons? Where would we be today if we had allowed that type of thing in the past encouraging poor people to immigrate here?

Exactly. The Industrial Revolution would have been severely retarded if not for immigrant labor. We might not be the economic leader of the free world if not for our welcoming immigration policy as we would have severely lacked the necessary labor.

If you are an immigrant you should not qualify for welfare. If you come here you have to earn your keep. And if you come here there has to be a job waiting for you.

It is not a valid reason to let someone come here just because they want to.

At this point I still don't know. Because the last few times I've seen it reported on, the writer inserts what they believe it means, and how it proves that the administration somehow only cares for whites.

I've only found one direct quote from him on it, and his interpretation is pretty consistent with republican standing. Nothing more.

Yes, economically desperate. But they worked, they earned, they helped build this country up into what it is today.

Not drop into the country and start drawing in government assistance.

All four of my grandparents came here without but a few dollars in their pockets and no education and no job skills and no promise of any job. Today, under the new grand plan for immigration, they would not be welcome.

And that is disgusting.
