NatMorton, African-American.If you go back far enough, African.
My dad tried to claim he was part "Blackfoot Indian". Native American, 0%.Surname is Dutch.
Have some German, Swiss, and Irish.
And if we were to ascribe to the One Drop sort of rule, Native American.
My family tree has always been interesting to me. Everyone with my surname is related. We have one common American ancestor who came from the Netherlands in 1625. When he arrived here he adopted our surname. And there is plenty of documentation that he married a Montauk princess and had the next generation with her. So from that point forward there has been Native American blood in our line. But now it’s so many generations downstream that the percentage is minuscule. My dad tried to claim he was part "Blackfoot Indian". Native American, 0%.
This sounds nice, but we're kind of past this post-racial boomer rhetoric man.I'm not ashamed of any of my supposed heritage. Nor do I feel any sense of superiority. I didn't choose this life, I woke up to it.
No one chooses their birth condition. I didn't get a choice, you didn't either. So no one is born to a superior or inferior race, just different ones.
Our two candidates are an older caucasian male and a middle-aged bi-racial female. Get over it. None of those components matter. What matters is who is best for America, based on the person outside of the race and sex.
Whatevs, it's all Shakespeare. This sounds nice, but we're kind of past this post-racial boomer rhetoric man.
All other ethnic based quotas aside, you or your children will probably be paying taxes toward some form of reparations. Kamala has mentioned this and supported race-based legislation in the senate. Trump, at least in 2016, clearly represented a revanchist ethnic white sentiment.
Not trying to be critical, but every time I read stuff like this it just comes off as insincere or ignorant. The post-racial era of the 90's and 00's is over.

What does this mean?
I have a small amount of Blackfoot, and another type of Indian in me. I do not recall they other tribe. Also about 1/64th black, of which my grandfather in my mothers side would never talk about. These do not show in my DNA testing, but then how accurate is ancestry dot com? I figure the percentage is so low, those gene sequences no longer exist in mine.My dad tried to claim he was part "Blackfoot Indian". Native American, 0%.
So you are a DEI hire?If you go back far enough, African.
So I went for a genetic test for me and mom when I saw a good sale on genetic testing (yes, now the CIA and FBI has my DNA results)
It was a joke for the CT minded among us...Its highly unlikely that the FBI or the CIA has your test results.
If a serious crime is committed, Police may use voluntarily given DNA testing to attempt to identify either the suspect or a close family member of the suspect. Familial DNA.
I would bet the farm that Ancestry.com isnt sending any test results to the FBI.

Aren't we all?So you are a DEI hire?
Sorry what is CT?It was a joke for the CT minded among us...
How about some examples of your assertion?@Rexedgar
There was a brief period in 90's and 00's America (some may call it a bubble) where the civil rights era and it's tribulations were far enough in the rear view that subjects related to race weren't particularly popular platforms. White Americans were insulated enough and the proliferation of social justice in academia hadn't yet quite taken hold.
So when I say "post-racial" I don't mean it in a literal sense. I mean it in the sense that race wasn't very relevant as a political platform. Boomers and Gen Xers have nostalgia for this period of relative peace, which is why they all call for this fantasy of a color-blind meritocracy just like the good ol' days with Clinton and Dubya the Elder.
conspiracy theoristSorry what is CT?
Yes you understand now white Christians have been DEI hires for 300 years.Aren't we all?
