So Spain had a second wave of cases and hardly any spike in deaths. Likewise, FL, AZ, CA and TX have had it easy compared to the first wave of NY, MA and NJ.

Assuming the "cases" are flooding hospitals and getting treated more effectively, what is the treatment?

Many people who entered through the emergency rooms in NY in March were do deathly ill they required mechanical ventilation. Now people are able to be tested, which they were not in NY in March, and they are able to get earlier treatment. The treatments have improved substantially as well which helps people in hospital to improve without requiring ventilator assistance.

Remdesevir has been a big help in reducing symptoms, convalescent plasma is used and that wasn't available to NY in March, anticoagulants are used because of the blood clots that doctors have discovered that people have experienced, steroids are used to reduce inflammation. These along with other medicines used in conjunction with each other is helping people survive and be discharged. The cases of infection are increasing but the death rate is decreasing.

I would say medical treatments that will turn out to work are probably a combination therapy....such as anti virals, steroids, asthma type treatments and early intervention...it isn't going to be quickly found...how long did it take for us to find a treatment for flu? and even that doesn't always work.
