This is just a little political study I'm doing here. I'll go first.
Q. You are now the president of the United States. Your party has swept every single senate, house, and governor races and are in complete control of every single state's local government. You virtually control 100% of the nation. Now, what would you do?
I would:
1. Ban businesses and lobbyists from having anything to do with the government. Any contact by a government official with any businessmen, or employees from businessmen = expulsion from the government and the guilty business will be dissolved.
2. Ban the government from having anything to do with businesses. Besides the anti-trust laws and anti-monopoly laws, the government should not step into the economy any farther than that. Oh, and, gold standard is good.
3. Subsidies and Transfer Payments by the government of any kind will be ultimately...can you guess? BOOYAH! BANNED!
Dear small businesses, we will break up any business that gets too powerful in the market, but its you that will have to toil and sweat if you want to compete with the other big businesses. We can't do the job for you, otherwise, we'll run you $9.1 trillion dollars in debt, now would we have fun after that?
4. I'll admit, there is a dark side to me, a VERY dark side. I am a full-blooded expansionist. The last of my kind I believe. Very rarely do I argue my true opinion, and it is my most true opinion, that it is the purpose of the United States, to encompass ALL of North and South America. Islands and all.
5. Iraq - either annex Iraq as a state, (or at least a territory) or withdraw, other than that, Iraq means nothing.
6. Iran - How dare they? Only the United States alone should have nuclear energy, let alone nuclear weapons. Destroy Iran, and if any of the other countries won't dissolve their nuclear programs, destroy them too.
7. Social Security, SCHIP, Health care, etc. Privatize them. If the government can't take care of its own debts, it sure as hell can't take care of anyone else. Personally, once the government FULLY pays off its national debt and fixes its budget and trade deficits, I would reintroduce SOME SS programs (As capitalist as I am, even I admit that some programs are good, we just can't afford them unfortunately. And what good is a program if you can't afford to pay it? Sounds simple to me!)
8. Gun Control - no.
9. No regulation of phones, or the internet whatsoever, and this government spying is creepy. However, the FBI agency should be permitted by law to fully spy on other countries
10. immigration - no, we have enough immigrants, close off both borders completely. No more immigration whatsoever, legal or otherwise.
11. In case you didn't already know, I want to fix the national debt and the trade and budget deficits.
12. outsourcing - the reason companies do it is because they can get more money. If we incorporate protective tariffs to include companies that go international, then te outsourcing ought to decrease.
