When he implemented those restrictions in Chinese Nationals 40,000 people immediately returned to the US from China and since U.S. Customs did not have the ability to quarantine or even monitor them all they proceeded to spread the virus to all 50 States. The "travel ban" made things much worse. It virtually guaranteed a nationwide pandemic overnight.
