With all these guys talking about kicking each others asses I'm the one that is negative? OK, alright, one (not some) might have been a little selfish of me to put in there because I wanted to have an award that I would have a shot at winning. But my intent was not to flame. But don't make assumptions based upon your opinion and/or the thoughts/actions of a few. The few do not always speak the minds of the whole.

And besides, we all know what happens when people assume.

You CAN support the troops without supporting the President, and you CAN support the troops without supporting the war in Iraq. It's not as black and white as some make it out to be.

First of all, they are not the leaders of MY party, as I am not affiliated with a specific party. My political views tend to lean to the left, but I am conservative on a few issues.

Secondly, it is not mandatory to support the President. I just recently got out of the Air Force....so how was it possible for me to SERVE as a troop and not support him? When it all comes down to it, he's just like any other boss out there, and there are plenty of people out there that don't like their boss.

No one said anything about not wanting the troops to succeed in their mission. I wish they all could have come home safely, but that was not meant to be. I can support them and the fact that they are doing their job, but I don't have to support the reasons we went there in the first place...I don't support going to war based upon false intelligence, greed, or vengeance.

Think about what you're saying. You're basically saying that I didn't support myself during my enlistment, nor did I support my husband, or want him to succeed, while he spent 16 months of our marriage (which is just now only approaching the three year mark, you do the math) in Iraq.

Then why is your beloved number one troop not out in the field taking fire? Instead all he can do is have daddy bail him out of any military participation. Not want them to succeed? Who said anything about not wanting them mto succeed? However the current policy and strategy that this adminstration has with regards to Iraq is face first failure bound.
