A mixture of the top two. Just because a candidate is a member of the party I primarily vote for doesn't mean I'll vote for that candidate. For example I didn't vote for McCain in 2008 elections and Romney in the 2012 elections because I know they are **** sucking piece of shit back stabbing liberals who magically decided that they were conservative because they were running for president. I didn't vote for Trump in the 2016 elections because he previously supported leftist things, donated to liberal and RINO republicans IE the establishment, friends with the Clintons, and praised the jobs those liberals and RINOs did. Because of those things I thought every issue he campaigned on was a utter lie. But seeing how he proven himself as president I will vote for him in the upcoming elections.I believe nearly every voter will each base their decision primarily on one of the following factors.
(1) Strictly Ideological ~ The GOP is committed to Capitalism / The Democrat Party has converted to Socialism.
(2) Candidate's platform ~ Candidates share the specific platforms they believe will benefit the nation.(hopefully)
(3) MSM reports/opinions ~ Undeniably; MSM is extremely ideological with access to every mind.
(4) Never Trump ~ And this factor will include both Dems and Pubs.
(5) Party loyalty ~ This factor in some cases can be a family tradition.

Carter was a nuke officer in the Navy. He wasnt the best President but he was definitely not the worst. When did Jimmy Carter . . .
seek a political enemy's help to win an election and lie about it?
bribe a foreign leader for personal political gain and lie about it?
promise to release his tax returns, then sue to avoid doing that?
call white supremacists "very fine people" and offend minorities?
rape a woman, pay her to keep it secret, and brag he can do it?
try to prevent citizens from voting by defunding all post offices?
tell everyone medically proven methods of saving lives are bad?
base a travel ban on religious bigotry instead of actual danger?
spend thousands of tax dollars on playing golf at fancy resorts?
give up on health care after the legislature rejected some bills?
insult troops who were either killed in wars or prisoners of war?
If you can't answer ALL of these questions, you have NO reason to call Jimmy Carter the worst President.
I do believe you're right, Overitall.....Wasn’t it Hillary that just recently advised Biden not to concede the election under any circumstances?
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.I do believe you're right, Overitall.....
Except that Democrats believe what is said is totally relative to who says it...

I do..The number one issue according to this:
Important issues in the 2020 election | Pew Research Center
the economy is number one . Covid is fourth. Do you have a poll showing how many voters blame Trump for Covid?

Where did I say I like Trump? I don’t like to assume the reason why people hate Trump. That would be foolish of me. But voting against a man only because you hate him doesn’t require a whole lot of effort to educate yourself on what positions the man is actually running on. You might be shooting yourself in the foot because you’re blinded by your hate.
Trump will be regarded by History as the worst US president ever.
Thanks Clara, but mistrusting isn’t exactly the same as blaming. One of the problems I have with polls, such as yours, is the sampling size and demographics. How many of each class were asked and how were the questions phrased. I would like to think that an equal amount Republicans, Democrats and independents were asked. Were every state polled? The same issues exists with the poll I cited. I generally try to avoid them in discussions.I do..
2/3 of the polled say that he sucks at handling covid19Two-third of Americans distrust Trump's COVID-19 response; say he acted too slowly to quell pandemic: POLL
This poll comes days after a new book by journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the president deliberately played down the pandemic.abc7ny.com
You have an opinion. Trumpsters have theirs. I voted for Obama over Hillary based on my opinion of her. Funny I didn’t see her whining about losing to him even though it was a very close race.If you are educated about Donald Trump, you know he badly failed to keep promises that tricked Republicans into thinking he would be a better president than Hillary Clinton. It is not blind hate when I actually am educated about the man.
After the primary season wrapped up on Tuesday, Clinton commended her supporters and claimed once again that she had won the popular vote: "Nearly 18 million of you cast your votes for our campaign, carrying the popular vote with more votes than any primary candidate in history."
