What should happen when a person is convicted for illegally destroying ballots in an election?

Yet Brian Kemp of Georgia fails to piss you off.

Intriguing.

Answer: Put or keep her in charge of overseeing the vote count for the next election. Imagine the left's outrage if this lady had been a Trump supporter.

I agree she should have been removed by Rick Scott. FWIW, the ballots at issue were from a Dem primary; were destroyed months after the election; and I don’t think there was any finding of bad faith. Still, if you can’t competently follow the rules regarding preservation of ballots you probably shouldn’t be running elections.

Or Kris Kobach. But then again suppressing minority votes is the backbone of many a Republican.
Or look to Georgia- Yep massive voter suppression of minorities, and many Republicans are like clams. Never opening their mouths

And unless I am wrong, she ran for and was elected Supervisor a number of times. Must be a good reason for that

Might add that if you can’t administer a health organization without having it commit massive Medicare fraud you shouldn’t be in an election.

Furthermore, Snipes wasn’t convicted of anything.

Must have missed that news. Please supply the link where he was convicted of illegally destroying ballots and then put in charge of vote counts.

I have never seen an instance where the right tried to suppress votes. All they want is for legal votes to be cast. Hell, every single time I go to vote I have to show my ID and I'm an old white guy. If I have to show my ID to vote then so can everyone else.

This is like the smallest political scandal ever. Yawn...

LOL. Yeah. If this had happened in Trump country it would be a uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge scandal and Jim Accosta would be accosting the White House over it and it would be on the six o'clock news. Of course you think it is "the smallest political scandal ever. Yawn..." and this story won't even make it to the six o'clock news, buried in their closet with all of Rick Scott's ballots.

I'm imagining a lefty would be so outraged they would start a thread and title it: "What should happen when a person is convicted for illegally destroying ballots in an election"

Then they would answer their own question with: "Put or keep her in charge of overseeing the vote count for the next election. Imagine the right's outrage if this lady had been a Obama supporter"

Pretty spot on if I do say so myself.

And you have evidence that someone on the right has done this, illegally destroying ballots and then being put in charge of overseeing the vote count in the next election?

Is there some valid reason to think that the vote count is incorrect. It says here that Florida dispatched people to oversee this election. Sounds like an honest mistake to me.

When you get around to firing the president for violating campaign finance laws and conspiring with a foreign government to illegally obtain information to be used to alter an election we will let you talk about what some random woman in Florida may or may not have done wrong.

Sure, I heard it happened from someone who saw it happen. Don't believe me, then ask around.

This sounds to me like a fairly honest mistake where she simply didn't realize she wasn't supposed to do that. Not good, but when you compare it to the numerous intentional acts committed by multiple Republicans in much much higher offices than this there is no contest. When you agree to fire Brian Kemp from Georgia or the President of the United States for their glaringly obvious attempts to rig elections in their favor then you can continue complaining about this random woman.

There is no indication whatsoever that the vote counts coming out of the county she is supervising are anything but accurate. Slow, maybe, but accurate. Either way, a full recount of the state is a virtual certainty at this point. Take a chill pill and focus on real crimes by people with real power like your own President.

Do you ever get tired of being tricked into outrage?

But in the conservative alternative history book it will become proof positive that democrats destroyed republican votes.

Just watch.

Your post is nonsense.

Yet you have no retort.

Evangelical Christians across this country turned out in mass for a man who bribed two porn stars to keep the fact that he cheated on his wife with them a mire months after she gave birth to their child. If that wouldn't have swayed a few family values Christian votes than they should stop calling themselves family values Christians.

Go to jail, go directly to jail. What a banana republic down there in south Floriduh. The left has no shame. What an ANTI-AMERICAN WOMAN.

That is bogus whining..... if Brian Kemp did anything wrong, like suppressing the vote... he would have the FBI all over him by now.

Nothing is happening...

All I hear is speculation that since he had this position that means he could rig the election.... no... he is completely exposed if he did that and would be going to jail. Everyone could vote if they wanted to vote.

If you are talking about voter registration purges? Every state does that to keep their database clean. He purged significantly less votes this year than last year because it is an election year. Georgia recently converted to automated system that helped with accurate voter purges. This is all completely lawful.

This is a good article about it https://www.ajc.com/news/local-govt...after-surge-last-year/fqT1bcSzGu33UEpTMDzMVK/

He even made it significantly easier to register to vote in GA by coming out with a new phone app where you could register.

This is a bogus non-story where democrats are making up drama.
