American news is pretty biased no matter who it is by but putting FOX on there is a complete joke.
Agreed.
All the news shows are so blatantly promoting the agenda of certain special interests or political parties, they are almost exactly like talk radio. Whether its MSNBC being the spokespersons for Obama, Fox News for the Republican Party, or PBS subservient to big business, and underwritten by Big Pharma, Insurance, or Big Oil connected foundations.
MSNBC, Fox or CNN begin a segment with injecting opinion or slant before any news story facts are given. Like Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, so and so is "Psycho," "Crazy," etc. Its almost pointless to discuss bias when so called 'news' hosts behave like hyped, bombastic, talk radio entertainment shows. Like Bill Maher and Mike Malloy. Mike Malloy who said "petitions don't matter," opened a segment last week saying "We all know 85% of Americans are stupid morons." Bill Maher loves this argument. Americans are dumb. Says it constantly.
It is like blaming dumbed down corporate media culture on the audience. "You people are all dumb, see, so we have to talk to you like children." Sniveling condescension, and spoon-feeding the audience using the public as a scapegoat is the height of arrogance and the elitist mindset. Shamelessly manipulating people with drivel.
Fox News, who say stuff like "You Occupy Wall Street are all smelly hippies, club 'em in the head," is just like Mike Malloy, "filthy right wingers" or "all religions are for dummies," or the Alex Jones guest Webster Tarpley ,"they are the useful idiots," (Tea Party/OWS) really psychologically abuse and demoralize everyone.
It is as if the American Media in all its forms is intentionally oppressive by design, so as to dissuade people from engaging in the political process.
