But what if the propaganda brainwashing had filtered down into our own favorite indy blogs/ progressive websites aside of the obvious Democratic Astroturf ones like TPM?

Never read TPM honestly. I like news that bashes everyone evenly lol, dont really see that :(

Im pretty sure even some of the indy blogs are guilty of bias as well, we are individuals with our own agenda's. We can't change human nature.

Anarchist blogs are probably best for criticism of all the parties, and the bias combat those with good things.

Though I can't call good intentions actually good. Especially with the bad results we see in the US.

The corp. shills and even some liberals who work in media who recognize the constant censorship (which has expanded exponentially in the last 12 years since Dubya and the advent of Fox News, as other media whores follow their lead) still contradict their prior stand against subverting the truth but now practice manufacturing the facts because it benefits the Democrat Party are even more guilty, because they delude their audience with false piety and pretend that they still continue to have a higher standard when they protect their Party Elites by changing the subject or omitting real reporting, in favor of tabloid gibberish.

(e.g.) - Mike Malloy used to be a standard bearer when it came to the war crimes of the Bush Admin. as well as other Air America hosts, when its Obama now he talks about religion, instead. Pacifica Radio now censors for Obama and the Democrat Party as well, with shock jock name calling shows on KPFK, complete with race baiting and similar slime used on conservative/Republican radio.

Id say CNN at least out of the ones I watch

I think CNN is just as guilty as Fox News for dumbing down and propagandizing the public. I remember in the early 1990's CNN always had William Bennett and that "Book of Virtues" religious crap on there. That would begin the slide into TV news idiocy and "Crossfire" where people got on TV and said something outrageous (before Ann Coulter came along) about foreign affairs or a Preznit not because it was true or even relevant, but simply to clamor for ratings. This is standard procedure for most all channels 24-7 now.

Limbaugh was saying 'spear chucker' on the radio, and in the 1990's the press ignored him. But now - I wonder with talk radio on the down slide (Clear Channel has lost billions) if all the hosts say outrageous things intentionally even the racist or patently false insulting just too get their name in the papers or mentioned on some blogs when their ratings are low.

Take Mike Malloy for instance. He said recently, "Your God is about to turn you into a smudge on the highway, where is he to protect you now you dumb religious bastards?," when a tornado killed some people in a rural town. He apologized the next day. He got a few blog mentions and a Yahoo article.

When I heard it on the radio though, it seemed intentional rather than a slip. Like he intentionally hurts and abuses people for attention and ratings, not just the opposite political party but his own liberal following. So everyone has no cred anymore becuase they are all shock jocks in one form or another, whether NBC leads with a YouTube video of some poor sap getting crushed by a falling tree, or Glenn Beck yelling socialist, they all suck, more or less.

ABC and NBC should also be disqualified, as there seems to be zero representation of the conservative view on these networks.

Agreed.

All the news shows are so blatantly promoting the agenda of certain special interests or political parties, they are almost exactly like talk radio. Whether its MSNBC being the spokespersons for Obama, Fox News for the Republican Party, or PBS subservient to big business, and underwritten by Big Pharma, Insurance, or Big Oil connected foundations.

MSNBC, Fox or CNN begin a segment with injecting opinion or slant before any news story facts are given. Like Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, so and so is "Psycho," "Crazy," etc. Its almost pointless to discuss bias when so called 'news' hosts behave like hyped, bombastic, talk radio entertainment shows. Like Bill Maher and Mike Malloy. Mike Malloy who said "petitions don't matter," opened a segment last week saying "We all know 85% of Americans are stupid morons." Bill Maher loves this argument. Americans are dumb. Says it constantly.

It is like blaming dumbed down corporate media culture on the audience. "You people are all dumb, see, so we have to talk to you like children." Sniveling condescension, and spoon-feeding the audience using the public as a scapegoat is the height of arrogance and the elitist mindset. Shamelessly manipulating people with drivel.

Fox News, who say stuff like "You Occupy Wall Street are all smelly hippies, club 'em in the head," is just like Mike Malloy, "filthy right wingers" or "all religions are for dummies," or the Alex Jones guest Webster Tarpley ,"they are the useful idiots," (Tea Party/OWS) really psychologically abuse and demoralize everyone.

It is as if the American Media in all its forms is intentionally oppressive by design, so as to dissuade people from engaging in the political process.

Norman Goldman claim.

As the continually low cable news ratings tell us - Americans are turned off by
the phony news infotainers and those foolish little actors and actresses like
Piers Morgan and Erin Burnett.

They're not reporting. They're dramatizing spin, and worse than a soap opera.

An unbiased news organization might tell us how invading various foreign countries is illegal under the UN Charter. American ones don't do that.

The UN Charter’s Article 2 states:

“The Organization is based on the principle of the sovereign equality of all its members….”

“All Members shall settle their international disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security, and justice, are not endangered.”

“All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.”

Article 33 states:

“The parties to any dispute, the continuance of which is likely to endanger the maintenance of international peace and security, shall, first of all, seek a solution by negotiation, enquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement, resort to regional agencies or arrangements, or other peaceful means of their own choice.”
