That is absolutely NOT coercion. Coercion involves one person using force or threats to compel another person to do something not of their choosing. In the scenario you present it would be your choice not to work and you would make that choice with the full understanding that doing so would likely result in starvation and homelessness.

Taking things one step farther, your proposition implies that you are seeking government sanction to relieve you from the responsibility of having to deal with the consequences of your own choices. You are suggesting that everyone else must be responsible for the results of your choices and that the government should be used as the mechanism by which those mitigation measure would be imposed. Your suggestion is, in fact, government sanction and executed coercion.
