What made dems hate the white working class?

Democrats are the party of elitists in general and don't like the working class, but why do they have so much contempt for the White working class? They don't want to appeal to Rural Voters and farmers. I guess they know their policies suck and would do nothing for them.
 
Could you give an example of their contempt? Their tax cuts for the rich? Their attack on labor unions? Their tariffs on their products?
 

You know what they say about opinions. I am white and working class and have always be a democrat. I do however see republicans attempting to take health care away from millions of people. I also see them giving a trillion dollar tax cut to their billionaire donors. Then they would cut medicare and SS to make up for the give away. I don't see anything the republicans have ever done for me except make my air and water dirtier. Stack the courts with lame, young unqualified judges that will almost always rule against the little guy. What a joke.
 
OP is an example of the group of delusional Americans, for whatever reason - apparently right-wing talk radio lies are a likely cause.

Republicans are at war with the white working class. They support plutocracy, cutting nearly all spending that benefits the white working class, lower wages, fewer worker rights, a lack of healthcare, a lack of unions, even destroying the environment itself for profit. They're against democracy that is key for the benefit of the white working class.

They also hurt the white working class by trying to divide the working class, to prevent it from being united for its interests against the plutocrats.

White working class who support Republicans are like slaves who fought for the confederacy, saying that the Union was the pro-slavery side.

What can be said about such people? They come and post delusional posts like the OP, and are oblivious to being told it's delusional.
 

You left out that Trump and the Republicans are currently working with our adversary Russia to subvert our country and our democratic elections. This point was made clear in the hearings today by our top Russia advisor Fiona Hill.


We now have a President and a major political party actively promoting Russian propaganda. Think about that.

It's an extremely hyperbolic thread title, but it could be an interesting discussion. Democrats moved away from labor in general when big money became a necessity in politics. It's very hard to balance the desires of working people and the desires of large corporations. They turned instead to promoting social issues, and doing a decent job at it, instead of class issues. The Republican party swooped in and filled the void by taking opposing stances on social issues, and Trump finally picked up some amount of the disengaged by moving left on issues like trade and decrying the corrupt elites for a shrinking middle class. Corrupt elites, in the mind of Trump supporters, now refers primarily to Democrats instead of the wealthy and the powerful like it once did. The key to Democrats re-engaging with the disengaged is to promote some form of class politics that can overcome things like immigrant blaming or purely partisan attacks.

So if the Republican stuffs ballot boxes to win, you say the Democrat is just complaining that they couldn't win the election? You're in a cult, you're an enemy of democracy, and you're supporting our enemy trying to hurt us just because you agree with their choice for a candidate.

Well, since you're broadening the topic from the OP, you're right that Putin is bad, but plutocracy is the biggest threat, far bigger than Putin.

Most rural voters who vote GOP are religious conservatives who ignorre the fact that they are voting agsint their economic interests by voting Republican.

It's alternate fact Thursday.

Trump refuses to pay the trades that he employes and gets foreign workers on H2B visas, gave a tax cut to billionaires that had pennies for working people, but somehow conservatives voters have been brainwashed into believing that supports the middle class. That is about as intelligent as claiming that Cadet Bonespurs in a patriot, despite his multiple deferments, his attacks on the US intelligence system when he praises Putin and attacking McCain, Khan and other veterans. Trump didn't commit treason. He merely has alternate loyalty.
 
I am part of the white working class.

The only party that routinely fights against my interest and desires, is the republican party.

I do not see expanded rights for gays, LGBTQ people, religious minorities, or anyone else, as a sleight against me.

Unlike the rest of the white working class morons.

Then again, unlike them, I don't read swill like Limbaugh, I don't listen to propaganda like Hannity, and I don't consume garbage, like Fox News.
 
What makes Republicans ask such loaded questions? Is it the complete lack of intellectual honesty?
