Or, what is your antithesis? An ideology that you dislike the most.

Me? Nazism.

I in general cannot hate people for their ideas, while I hate communism, I cannot hate communist as I see the appeal it has to some. As with anything, there are always some people that are great people that fit into an ideology. Not everyone is evil that fits into that ideology. I do not hold it against them when they express what they are, and I am willing to have rational debate with any also willing. I appreciate ideas and feel they must be expressed no matter what, as any and all can contribute.

There is one, and only one, exception to the philosophy I hold. Nazis. I so fervently HATE Nazis it is hard to express through simple block text. One may use the word hate as an exaggeration or hyperbole to emphasise; but this is one of the minimal instances where I can use the word with absolute seriousness. I HATE Nazis.

So, I have shared mine, what is yours?

I don't have any particular beef with other ideologies. If you can make coherent arguments for your positions then I can respect that. So I guess I'm generally opposed to dumb-argumentism.

Authoritarianism. Which is more common than you would think, to varying degrees.

Fascists and Nazis are the only time I support violent opposition.

There are far too many to mention. Off of the top of my head, however; I can think of communism, anarchism, the more anti-humanist strains of environmentalism, nihilism, and statism as all being particularly loathsome on an intrinsic level.

In terms of political positions that don't really exist within the US, probably the military dictatorship of North Korea. It combines all the worst parts of fascism with theocracy. It is probably the worst place to live in the entire world and uses 1984 as a handbook rather than a warning.

In terms of modern American political ideologies, it's tough to choose between the Christian crazies who scream about their religious freedom while dead set on destroying anyone else's and salivate at the thought of the end of the world, and right wing libertarians, who basically have no ideology except selfishness.

Any ideology that sacrifices liberty for or makes any reference to "The Greater Good" or "National Security"

My initial reaction is that Totalitarianism would be my most disliked if I were actually living in it. Then again it would motivate and empower me to rebel against it, and being motivated to fight to the death is not necessarily the worst thing imaginable. I'd rather fight evil to the death than be politically corrected into submission by snake-tongued do-gooders. Plus, I find Totalitarianism to be so inherently unstable and unachievable in most contexts that it's almost mythical, especially nowadays.

So when I think about it, I really pretty much hate our mixed market, quasi-populist, shadow Corporatocracy. I hate it even more than Socialism and Communism. I believe many true Socialists and Communists are wrong in their beliefs about the stability of their ideology, but at least some of them can recognize bull**** when they smell it (in both parties, often times) whereas the partisan adherents of our populist two-party Corporatocracy are too stupid to even realize they're being deceived, and frankly I hate plain-old-stupid a lot more than I hate smart-but-probably-wrong.

What's the difference between a shadow corpoblahblah and a populist two-party one?

Is it just always a mixed market, quasi-populist, shadow, populist, two-party corpoblahblah?

I don't know, I think I was just trying to provide enough adjectives to encompass as much of the bull**** as we have going on as possible, but maybe it was too many adjectives. I used the word shadow to mean that I think corporate interests are intentionally covert in their influence, and called it populist because there is a lot of feigned alignment with voters (during election years) against some notion of elitism, and it works, evidenced by the fact Congress as a whole has extremely low approval ratings even as Congresscritters have high re-election rates.

I think corpos are good. Big international ones with tons of influence over government and the illuminate are great, they make awesome products that we all get to enjoy. Where's the downside?

The downside of a Corporatocracy (admittedly a rather recently coined term) is that it does not just involve one or more corporations.

It would be good if it was just one or two? I like lots of different and powerful corps.
It would be good if they weren't allied with government institutions and banks that could successfully deceive 90% of the voting populace. There are a number of corporations whose products I too happily purchase and which that bring my life great satisfaction, increased productivity, et cetera. Don't mistake me for anti-corporation just because the prefix corpo- appeared in there.

You seem to be trying to poke holes in my comments (and this thread in general) for a bit now, without genuinely sharing much of your own opinion on the matter, as though something about this discussion rubs you the wrong way, but you won't come out and straightforwardly say what it is.

Don't you "see the appeal" of Nazism? A brand of socialism that (presumably) avoids the cold, mechanical theorizing of the internationalist Marxism, and preserves the precious intimate human connections of the Land, the Tribe, the Family?

As for Nazism vs. Communism, ask yourself: "What do I "hate" more - an ideology that retained a feeble shadow of common decency by requiring that its true believers think of "the enemy" (Jews, Slavs like myself, etc) as not-quite-human, a different species - or an ideology that sanctions murder of anyone at all - your brother, father, mother - if they happen to be the "class enemy", if they "stand in the way of history", or whatever other nonsense?!
