Lets ask?
1. Get Visa from American Embassy.
2. Obey U.S. Laws, and be transparent to immigration personal.
3. When you immigrate to United States of America, do NOT bring your country with you.

SirJamesofTexas

What are you saying? Immigrants need to forsake their culture?

You mean restrict their freedom of speech to express their cultural identity?

http://www.nmsu.edu/~frontera/old_1997/mar97/397ins.htm

A huge percentage of illegals obtained "legal" visas and have overstayed their visa limit. ( the above site quotes anywhere from 40% to 90% (depending on the state) of illegals are those who have overstayed their visa limit.)

No one is addressing this wave of illegal immigrants (many of whom are Asians, Germans, etc with technical know-how and backgrounds). Are we being prejudicial towards the Mexicans?

Second, how do we address these illegals who have overstayed their visa?

No wall will keep them out.

. When you immigrate to United States of America, do NOT bring your country with you.

So, should I not bring with me the Asian work ethic, respect for elders and acquisition of knowledge and education?

In addition, I'm certainly glad my daughter is going to bilingual in Mandarin and English since China is going to be the next superpower and she will be a highly covetted by both the business and technology industry. (She is also learning spanish at her private school).

Lets Ask?
1. In some areas yes, and in others no, to assimilate in ,they shouldn't try to bring in their own culture to impress it upon us Americans, this won't work in any situation.
2. Americans don't want to be Mexicans or else they would move there.
3. Also in other nations, Europe, etcetera.
4. If you come here to migrate, don't bring your failed nation with you, come to USA the land where you can excel if you try to assimilate.
5. Or else stay where you are.
6. On the most part yes, they need to forsake their culture, and become Americans.

Please inform us all what this american culture you speak of. Is it the slow and friendly culture of the south? Is it the fast paced nature of New York City? Is it the Minnesota Nice? The Georgia Peach? The Native American reservation culture? Which of these multitudes of different american cultures are you exactly referring to?

Immigrints should learn our language, wave our flag and assimilate into our culture.

When you become a citizen of this country you are no longer your former nationality you are an American. The only Flag Americans shoudl be flying is the United states flag.

That still doesn't solve the problem. Should I as a Minnesotan force myself into a southern culture should I move to Alabama? Should a Texan blend in in Washington State?

OFF TOPIC!:doh

1. Everyone who moves from up north to down south and visa versa do make allowances, in many areas of life.
2. Thats a personal choice just how far you will change or assimilate.
3. But this topic's about illegals, and how they should come here in the first place.

If they are citizens you cannot violate their right to express their cultural identity, whether or not "adverse cultural effects" will occur or not. These "adverse cultural effects" can only change our culture, not destroy. Afraid of change, there's not much you can do about it.

You're talking like Americans have a culture, which is only partly true. We have a culture made up of thousands of borrowed ideas from other cultures that is very different depending on each region or even community you go to.

I agree, assuming that Constitutional rights to express cultural ideas are not in any way violated.

If I move to another region of the US and I have to "assimilate" into their culture then screw them.

Only illegals have to give up their culture??

1)Everyone? It sounds like you have proof of that. Please share.

2)Of course, if it's a personal choice of how far a person should assimilate. Unfortunately, it's you who is creating a nebulous goal for immigrants to reach.

3)And so far, the points are relevant in rebuttal of your proposal.

Lets ask?

1. All people who move from one specific area of the world to another have to assimilate to that area in one degree or another.
2. Or else they refuse.
3. Lets ask. They move from Texas to China and never learn the language, customs and how business is done, they fail in all points of life there.

So, the pilgrims... they assimilated to the native american culture?

Or they learn the language and customs of the locals but hold on to their own culture too. Not everything is so black and white.

To be successful, sure. If they don't want to be successful, then no one can force them.

Please offer proof of all of your claims.

Lets ask?
1. Firstly who has the stats on this?
2. The government.
3. I know how the system works.
4. Some people won't believe proof when it falls on them like a building.
5. Everytime I go to a grocery store in my neighborhood I see a Mexican mom using a Texas Plastic Credit Card, free food.
6. Fact is they all go to public hospitals and never have to pay or qualify.
7. They don't own homes so they pay no school tax.

Circular logic. You're the one make the wild assertions and as with debate, you need to back them up with facts.

SirJamesofTexas

Don't make claims and ask others to defend them.

Don't make claims without any evidence. Personal observation was a good start, but then you just gave up. If you don't want to put in the time to really discuss anything then go home.

There are extremely important questions left unanswered, and we are left with your claims that have no basis. Provide a basis, then claims, and then immediately after provide evidence.

Proof is hard to come by friends,

1. My claims are common sense.
2. To prove it I would need to get into private hospital records, along with Texas Government Agency records, that provides food stamps and section 8 housing, which are as well private information.
3. I'm no hacker.
4. Same on the percentage of illegals who own a house and pay the taxes, not open to public account.
5. Why is all this information being kept private?
6. This information could lead to where and how many illegals are in USA. Lets ask?; (my way of setting the reader to get on the edge of their seat to make an or think of a opinion) sue me.

Regards,
SirJamesofTexas
