Hillary, Pelosi, Warren, Maxine....
They enjoy attacking women in government? They leadership I suspect is scared purely from a party, partisan perspective. Find all potentially strong candidates, attack them, ridicule them, get our base to be foaming at the mouth insulting them, and that will hinder their chances should they ever try to run for president. The longer they do this, the greater toll it takes (see Hillary). They know a woman president is incoming soon, and they are smart enough to try and hammer down all viable women candidates in the Democratic party preemptively.
During college, she was an intern in the immigration office of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy.[22] She graduated cum laude from Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations.[18][23][24]
Not a bad education for politics. Immigration is a key wedge issue right now, where Republicans have been successful at convincing their base of stupid things.
Trump had an opportunity to allow passage of immigration reform, along with Mitch and Ryan, but they know that if they "solve immigration, they won't have their #1 lever for inciting anger and nuttery from their base. So they tabled it.
Republicans will not solve immigration because they will use the fear of immigration to gain a chunk of the xenophobic, largely rural communities around the U.S., as they have done successfully the past two elections.
Even if Democrats can find a way to get immigration reform passed years from now, Republicans will demonize it like Obamacare, and hamstring it to the point that they once again can rail about immigration being a national threat.
Only way Republicans can be stopped from this sort of nonsense is for their voters to wise-up, or die-off, and that's a slow process in either case.
