What has been making Putin Nervous?

NO! You don't have to be an idiot. You only have to be born a Russian, who went through Russian schools, and who has studied Russian history. NATO, backed by a unified European Union, are a far bigger threat to Russia than anything that has ever existed before, where only France or Germany became the ultimate aggressors.

WE know we are not a threat. THEY do not. What and how they feel matters to them, and can easily be manipulated by Putin, who controls the media.

The European Union is hardly unified.

@bomberfox is relying on that guy like Ukraine is relying on NATO. The problem is that NATO has actual firepower. And Ukraine isn't a member of NATO.

That firepower has been intercontinental for longer than I've been alive. NATO provided 'defensive' protection from the Soviet Union. Russia was a member of the Soviet Union.

If you take all of that (and there's more) into account, then 'flip the script' so that Russia were doing what NATO has done, these same people would likely be screaming that Russia is threatening America. The hypocrisy is something else, and the one-dimensional reasoning is entirely insufficient.

Cool fanfiction bruh. Still is nothing like sending nuclear weapons. I didnt state Russia was directly threatening America and arguing against overblowing the situation.

Oh? Really?

"BRUSSELS, March 1 (Reuters) - The Russian invasion of Ukraine has united the 27-nation European Union and the NATO military alliance, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday.

"If (Russian President Vladimir) Putin was seeking to divide the EU, to weaken NATO, and to break the international community, he has achieved the exact opposite," she told the European Parliament.
