Many Americans have said do not send in American Troops to defend Ukraine, it is not our fight. The problem is that many experts do not think that Putin is through and he will eventually attack one or more of the NATO members in the Balkan area. We have signed a treaty as part of NATO to come to the aid militarily if any of the NATO members are attacked. So if one of the NATO members in the Balkans are attacked by Putin, do we fight or run?

We fight if that happens. We must. If NATO can't be relied upon, that's an absolute cataclysm.

If Putin attacks a NATO member yes we will enter the war. Good luck to ya'll as I'll probably be nuclearized dust. But Russia will be wiped off the face of the Earth as well. So hopefully the oligarchs will finally take Putin out before that happens. It's one thing to have to content yourself with spending your corrupt billions in Russia, it's another to have a nuclear missile dropped on your tacky golden palace.

A defensive, like and kind retaliation. The allies should be talking to the oligarchs that Putin made a bad business decision. That they'd better do something about it, quickly, or we will deplete their wealth until Putin is stopped. And we can't guarantee there will not be a cost to them to some degree of reimbursement to the allies for costs to the allies. The US and the allies should have been taking action long ago. There was already the 5-day Russo-Georgian war by invasion from Russia, for which they were found to have abused human rights. Putin already invaded Ukraine when invading and taking over Crimea. Now they've invaded the whole of Ukraine. Both dictators Hitler and Putin had ambitions of territorial expansion and used lies as excuse to invade others.

We must fight. Treaty obligation require it.

Isn't it crazy that Putin can order the world nuked any time? That level of danger? Yet my thread how it indicates how important it is to get rid of nukes got about no response. It's dangerous how people forget nukes are dangerous. Oh, they'll never get used. Really? Can't happen? Is it impossible to imagine trump having decided to use one?

Canada would honour our agreement just as we did for the US. It is our legal and moral obligation.

It's obvious. An attack on one is an attack on all.
Remember, two Latvian soldiers died in Afghanistan because America had been attacked on 9/11. How could America sit still if Russia attacks Latvia?

We need a way to render them obsolete and easily defended against. Much maligned though it was, SDI had the right idea.

The criticism of SDI wasn't for the goal - which seemed to have come from a movie Reagan saw - thought its destabilizing effect on MAD is something to debate; rather the criticism was more about it being a boondoggle because it wasn't actually feasible. Reagan addressed the MAD issue by saying the US would give it to the world. Ya, right.

If they were to do so, they would receive similar treatment on Russian soil. Let’s hope it does not come to that.
