There are two wars being fought when it comes to Israel. The first war is the physical war, fought for the existence of the Jewish state and involving questions like troops and bombs. Israel is winning this war at least in regerds to their continuing existance.
The second war is more subtle, and more wide ranging, and this is a war that Israel is losing -- the war of propaganda. In an arena where those who cannot win militarily utilize all at their disposal to win rhetorically, such bombings just provide ammunition to those who really don't need much to begin with. Heck, with such vast numerical superiority, the rabid haters of Jews outnumber Jews by a considerable margain, and those who share such rabid hatred use organizations such as the U. N. and the EAD as vehicles for exercizing influence. This shapes people's perceptions, and creates an atmosphere where the hetred of the Jewish state becomes so knee-jerk that there is almost nothing that Israel CAN do to influence perception on the world stage. The odds are stacked against them because antisemitism is so wide spread and this antisemitism now manifests itself as an unrelenting attack upon the Jewish state.
If there were 250 million members of the KKK in the United States, and 5 million black people, who do you think would win the war of propaganda? THis is a case of majority vrs. minority and one where the world has turned its back on the minority because it only listens to the majority. Such is the way of the world, and short of abandoning the desire for self determination -- a desire afforded just about every other peopleof the world -- I don't think there is anything Israel can do to stem this rising tide of antisemitism with all it's specious denial that the unrelenting attacks on the Jewish state have nothing to do with the fact it is the Jewish state.
