What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Pop wanted pot roast so I put a London broil in when I got up this morning and to beat the heat I slow roasted it for a few hours with carrots, potatoes and onions and made pan gravy. Kept it warm in the crock pot for Shabbat at 1pm. Dessert was strawberries over pound cake and whipped cream.
Supper was bursted cherry tomatoes sautéed in olive oil and garlic over angel hair. I love to do a quick meal in 20 minutes. Ice tea.

Knee high by 4th of July, right?
I love to sleep with windows open but bugs and heat make it impossible right now.
I'm not a hot weather person and would much rather the temps be in the high 60-70°s
About 70F would do me year around.

Re: Italian sausage. Disappointed with the store brand I picked up a package of Italian sausage made by a company in Pendleton, OR; in the business of sausage making since 1947. 78 years of making sausage..... it's gotta be good, right? I swear on my copies of Mastering the Art and Fannie Farmer that there was bbq sauce in that sausage. What ever it was it wasn't Italian.

That wasn't very good in spaghetti sauce, was it?

I'm with you on the temps. I hate the heat, summer is my least favorite season, fall is my fav.

Eating alone tonight, so I'm making jalapeno and pepperoni pizza with Monterey pepper jack cheese with some leftover dough from yesterday. Will probably put crushed red pepper flakes on to be extra sure.

Long holiday Canada Day weekend. 15 for dinner tonight......BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, broccoli salad.,corn on the cob, griled baby herb potatoes and a summer berry trifle. They have all gone off to the fireworks in the pontoon boat but I'm staying home with the 4 year old grand who is frightened by them . So we are snuggling and happy.
