I'm not traditionally religious but I would sooner tell you that my right hand I'm typing with doesn't exist before I would tell you that (a higher power) GOD doesn't exist.

I love my family, nothing in this world I have holds a candle to the preciousness each and every one of my children and their children hold in my heart. And the love of my life is the most amazing miracle that's ever happened to me; why she loves me and puts up with me is an unsolvable mystery for the ages. They all mean more to me than life.

But my Country and its Constitution hold a place so special in my heart that it is hard to convey to anyone else. I believe OUR Country is the one hope of common men on this planet and each American is blessed to be a custodian of that miracle on earth. I believe our Constitution is THE Greatest Document ever written by man for mankind.

Personal responsibility is a family tradition that began when my Great, Great Grandfather came steerage to America and began farming at the turn of the last century. Because of his efforts and that of my Grandfather's our family has prospered beyond the imaginings of ancient kings. Most of us have college degrees and ALL of us are hardworking productive Americans.So, if you think "democrats" don't subscribe to ANY of those beliefs; My family is proof that you need to give it another think. A man that has been the destrucion of those beliefs and everything AmeriCANs hold dear; how do you vote for that?

Who do you think you are to dismiss the large part of AmeriCANs so casually?

And how can you possibly vote for a man that is the embodiment of every human attribute we ALL have been taught to abhor. A man devoid of any of the redeeming attributes of mankind we ALL were taught to admire. How do you support such a human tragedy and still claim all those beliefs you listed?

I told a friend of mine that I would LOVE to have the luxury of being more conservative...MUCH more conservative.

I told him that if every ambitious poor kid with decent grades could be guaranteed a chance at decent schools and a chance to get higher education or advanced job skills training, and if everyone could be assured that their healthcare was guaranteed, and if every working stiff who puts in their forty hours (or more) a week could be assured of having a roof over their head, I'd be FIRST among those saying:

"You have NO excuses, it's all out there for you, your housing is assured, you can get an education, you're going to be in good hands if you get sick or injured, so get off your lazy ass and get out there and quit making excuses and whining."

If I knew that the system treats everyone more or less the same, I'd be conservative as hell!
Sure sure, there's awful cops out there among the good ones but if I knew that my black friends aren't being treated any different than I am, I'd be saying "Jesus you think you're being singled out? We're all being treated that way so quit whining and cooperate."

If I knew that the financial system wasn't predatory, I wouldn't have any sympathy for people who get into trouble because of dumb decisions that cost them their nest egg.
