What are your five least favourite countries?

Israel, for obvious reasons. No other 'nation' seems quite so odious as this particular disgrace to the global community. Not only in terms of scope, but for it's ceaseless aggression and it's legal imprimatur as being America's watchdog in the ME. I may have elected to highlight Zimbabwe's atrocities, but for Israel's preeminence in that capacity.

Now go ahead and infract me (again) for speaking the truth.

I remember going to the Czech Republic it was rather depressing. I also had an issue with Germany in that every you look there is goddamn wind turbines.

That's one of the many things people neglect to mention in the green movement. Everything starts looking like ****. They just built a gigantic solar farm a few hundred meters from my village, and it's an eyesore. Top that off with a billion wind turbines.

One nuclear plant would replace like a million panels and turbines.

And by the way, Czech was actually pretty cool. We went to Prague and did some partying and sight seeing. There's a club there called Karlovy Lozny that is 5 stories tall, each story is a different club type, ie: hip hop, techno, metal, etc. It's the largest club in central Europe. Anyway, long story short, my wife ended up carrying me out of there and I was the most hungover I'd ever been in my entire life the next day.

Yeah, I'm definitely not a fan of Israel either. Just because you got handed a country that wasn't yours out of pity, doesn't mean you need to be a gigantic **** to the people you took the land from. Can't we find some way to get along?

Precisely that.

In no particular order;

1. China
2. Saudi Arabia
3. Qatar
4. Poland
5. North Korea

...btw we need a thread for our five most favourite countries... (not including US...lol)

Fallen.

What kind of idiot dislikes (let alone hates!) a whole country? That's like saying you don't like fruit or anything red. You can certainly dislike certain aspects of a country (though they'll probably exist in lots of others you're not even aware of, maybe even your own) but disliking the whole thing is just silly.

That's not true. I hate every single thing about Afghanistan. I hate the terrain, the people, the wildlife, the government, the location, the weather, EVERYTHING.

It's very possible to hate an entire country.

If you read my post carefully, you'll see I didn't say it was impossible. :2razz:

Actually, the US would make this list for me.
Then it would be any Indian country + any where in Europe (outside of the UK...I think UK music rocks)

But I am surprised China is on any list here.

Sure China is developing and have a while to go to be the world's super power. But I just wonder if it isn't just fear that would place China on anybody's list.

Mao Zedong for example is vilified in the US, while in my view was a great leader that did a lot for his country.
America will always define anybody who resists Colonialism as evil .....and were it not for Mao ...China may be like South Africa today where a handful of settlers control the country and it's wealth. Is there corruption in China today .....hell yes...same deal in the US!! But it's mainly corrupt Chinese in China. Isn't it just a little bit better dealing with corrupt Americans pilfering the nation than some foreigner doing it?

The thing is ...look on Amazon for example on the number of books vilifying Mao .... now look at the authors and notice the "American" names!!

China is on the rise ....they believe in building a military, they are intellectually superior....they are hard working (not fat and lazy) .....I think this makes many Americans fearful and nervous.

I think I'd replace Saudi Arabia with another. SA works with the US diplomatically and economically. In this way, we engage them and push them towards democracy. They also support the war on terror, sharing intel and even operations with the US. While it is a backwards country, it is reasonable regarding international relations and is slowly progressing.

but they stone women to death ?

the saudi arabian sharia is more brutal than iran in many aspects

you know nobody cares about their democracy except you

so you should comdenm these radicals instead of appreciating them for allying with USA

To say that China as a nation is intellectually superior is beyond stupid- IQ isn't a national measure. Most of your response shows your lack of IQ...

OK, you hate the USA. "Millions of Americans starving."

North Korea is the only remaining totalitarian state? There goes your credibility in terms of knowledge. :lamo

Like how that Taliban treats women do ya? :doh

What are you on about?

I do not hate the US.

And yes, North Korea is solidly the only remaining totalitarian state in the world. What other government extends that sort of total and absolute control over the lives of its people? No one, but the DPRK.

Disliking a country in my case means disliking government and how the country is run. I can never hate a whole people, if that is what you're getting at.

The day they end their oppressive policies against women is the day they can be regulated to the list of "meh" countries.

Mao was a monster who was responsible for the deaths of millions of people, held back economic development and tried to sidelong Deng Xioaping, one of the most important figures of the twentieth century, eventually becoming responsible for Chinas overdue rise. Stop reading propaganda.

England.

Before you ****ing Poms start, I'm not following the cricket and I can't hear you la la la la la.

I'm not saying they are 'meh', I'm just saying that they're not in my top 5 worst. There are other countries with equally oppressive policy that do not cooperate with the West.

China is a paper tiger. It does not have human, civil, labor or environmental rights. When the people demand those, China will crumble and may fragment into several small and meaningless countries.

hahaha

Ah, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and ah, - oh wait - countries? Zimbabwe, which is a lot like Connecticut. France, which is a lot like New York. Russia, which reminds me of New Jersey. North Korea, which is unlike anything else on the planet. And Iceland, because they're a little pain in the ass, like Massachusetts. You know, no matter what one might say here, somebody somewhere will be offended. At least, I certainly hope so. Offense is a national obsession now, so I simply must accomodate it. And I threw Iceland in there simply for their position regarding Snowden. It's a nice place otherwise, even with the volcanoes.

Your interpretation is too black and white. There are many oppressive regimes, some are worse than others by various criteria.

Simple enough question: list your five least liked countries and state why, in order if you wish.

France - bullies minorities.

England - bullies us.

US - bullies everyone.

'Israel' - racist and murders children to terrorise parents.

Afghanistan - run by murderous barbarian nutters backed by foreigners: bullies women.

You think Canada has the force projection to invade a country across an ocean or the equator?

It's ridiculous for you to claim to have not done something, righteously, when you have no ability to do such. It's like me claiming "I never lost a fight to Muhammad Ali" or "I never got sacked by an NFL defense".

If we felt the need to meddle in other countries' business on a regular basis or to pre-emptively attack because we know people hate us, we too might spend 20% of our budget on toys of destruction. We don't have that need, so we don't have the toys. America seems to have that need and to be locked in a viscious cycle of preparing to defend because people may attack you because you pre-emptively attacked them because you thought they might attack you because of something you did.

You'll find Canadians aren't the self-righteous ones, we leave that to Americans like you - we tend to be the rational ones and even so, if America gets too messed up in something, we virtually always provide assistance where we can. And Americans in charge of such things are grateful for the assistance and don't belittle it in the way you do.

Yeah yeah...

I never crashed a fighter jet.

Praise me!

5) United States of America--Used to be a good place, but now mostly taken over by commies. Each generation seems to be getting more selfish and dumber as time goes on. Least availability of feminine women. Going downhill rapidly, greatly in need of a revolution/cleansing.
4)France--While some of the people there are not bad, double dealing backstabbing untrustworthy government that is overly socialist. Military laughing stock of the whole world. Better than US for availability of actual women who like being feminine, but other factors make it worse than the US.
3)California--Commie central that is destroying large areas of the US. Unisex worshiping sudo-masculine women are too common and real women are terribly difficult to find there.
2)Iran--Religious intolerant buffoons for a government. It's a frigging dessert, plant some trees. Possibility of having decent looking women who know how to be women instead of sudo-men, but who knows for sure, they don't let us see them.
1)N. Korea--total socialist ****hole. Possibly has cute feminine women, but everything else there totally ****ed up.

The number of people listing the USA and our allies shows just how detached from reality and spoiled many Americans really are.

Why don't you folks move to Somolia? You'll love it there.
