Right now I'm listening to "Unpretty" by TLC.

Since you're Scottish, I just put on Dogs Die In Hot Cars. "I Love you Cause I Have To" to be specific.

This is a song title, mind you, and not an admission of a deep seated romantic compulsive disorder offered in such an untoward fashion.

Probably safer to have hauled out something by Teenage Fan Club......

Lol, thank you for that. My first laugh of the day. :D

I have matis yahu's new cd, "youth" in my car right now, as well as some punk rock and 90's hip hop.

Josh Rouse's album "Subtitulo". Ever hear songs that you have to keep listening to like they're crack? I cannot stop listening to this collection. I'm honestly not trying to annoy those around me. For once.

I have decided to dedicate the day to the Elephant 6 collective. Currently listening to Olivia Tremor Control's album "Black Foliage" over the headphones since I play everything too loud otherwise, and would annoy my wife who has some unusual ideas when it comes to her notions that the period between 4 and 6 in the morning is sleeping time instead of the best time of the day.

Will probably run through some Neutral Milk Hotel, Circulatory System, Elf Power, Apples in Stereo and Sunshine Fix before the day is through, though.

That absolutely nobody here has any idea what I'm talking about is proof enough that I'm on to something good.

Today its the Back to Bedlam album by James Blunt and Chariot by Gavin Degraw

He's an internet find. I'm glad I found him. I love his lyrics. Very fun to listen to.
I also enjoy John Prine.

I know that feeling: it's the same with me and "The Holy Bible" by the Mainc Street Preachers.

I'm sure over on that side of the pond you've been hearing Gnarls Barkley. I just found that CD last night and can't get enough of that one now.

You've got great taste in music, espicialy, in my opinion, Sonic Youth, Franz Ferdinand, the Kaiser Chiefs and Placebo, The Cure and Blur. Speaking of Sonic Youth, have you heard "Tunic"?

I've never actually heard of them. What genre are they? Are they good?

Damn awesome stuff. If ya go to the website, http://www.gnarlsbarkley.com , it loads up with a song or two. It's made up of two artists and is such a fun hybrid that it's impossible to resist. It's pop/soul/funk/alt/r&b in a blender.

Today is "Oh Canada" day in the garden.

Arcade Fire, New Pornographers, The High Dials, Hot Hot Heat, Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade and Destroyer.

I might even have to haul out some Neal Young for old times sake.
