Guy does a decent impression of Michael Murphey.

Kenneth Essex was a member of the Hurwitz Quartet, which played backing for the Beatles’ "Yesterday" as well as principal viola of the Royal Philharmonic and London Symphony orchestras." Very fun fact: He is 100 years old and still alive!

Our first song of the New Year is for Lucy the Elephant. Lucy has been at the Edmonton Valley Zoo for 43 years, she has no other elephant companions and she suffers from a number of ailments. Lucy's advocates are campaigning for her to be assessed by an independent team of experts, to determine whether she can be safely retired to a more suitable sanctuary environment. Please read the information below from LEAP (Lucy's Edmonton Advocate's Project) and help to raise awareness for Lucy's plight, thank you all xx "LEAP (Lucy's Edmonton Advocate's Project) is an Edmonton based grass roots organization that was founded in 2015 by Mary-Ann Holm, a local who saw Lucy's plight and could not sit by and watch as this lonely, Asian elephant faded away in a Canadian zoo that does not meet her needs. Throughout the years of fighting for Lucy there have been constant hurdles to overcome, and Mary-Ann has always done so with grace, dignity, and fierce determination. She has sacrificed much to see Lucy free, and continues to do so, all to see Lucy live the life she has been deprived of all these years. LEAP for Lucy has gained significant support in recent years, and Lucy's future looks brighter because of it. But the fight continues on, and so must we all. Thank you Mary-Ann for all that you do.
