I have to admit that FOX News at least has a mix of pro-Trump and anti-Trump and balanced perspective. I can't say the same for CNN and MSNC.

I have a lot of respect for Wallace and Shephard Smith. The rest of FOX News is pure garbage.
 
This is one of two reasons why Democrats aren't able to give in to Trump's demand. The entire wall issue is based on a tsunami of lies, and to give him his wall is to reward policies that are based on anti-truth.

I genuinely believe what we are seeing right now is a symptom of one reason he should be impeached: for generating chaos due to creating a culture of anti-truth. The only way a national debate can move forward is if the debate is fundamentally based on a shared reality. If one side decides to create an entirely independent reality that isn't based even in their own point of view but rather an ever-shifting collection of claims solely for the purpose of arriving at some nebulous goal, then chaos is the only outcome. The wall and the shutdown, in my opinion, is the first national crisis that's resulted from anti-truth.

Exactly. A democrat leader needs to sit down with Trump and tell him that in order to get the money he needs to layout exactly what kind of fence will be put in the exact area it will be put and the exact mileage and cost of the fences along with the exact dollar amount to be spent on any other border security measures. That's the real problem here. Ask Trump to point to a map and tell us where we currently don't have a fence but need one. I guarantee you he will have no idea or might point to a spot where we already have a a steel slat fence up.

I honestly think Trump is beside the point by now. He's an erratic, unreliable negotiator who also happens to be a nihilist. While McConnell is one of the country's biggest political hacks, he's not a nihilist, and it's at least possible that enough Republicans can be peeled away to convince him to bring the House's bill to a vote.

I didn't mean that this would convince Trump to change his mind. I meant it in order to show his supporters that the ********er is just spouting talking points and actually doesn't know what's really needed at the border. He has no idea where a fence would be effective, where we already have fences, what other technology is actually needed. They need to be aware that he's just saying **** and never actually backing it up with facts or actual guidelines on how to get it done. Not that it will matter to most of them.
 
Sarah Sanders, and especially Kellyanne Conway, have played the press for fools, very obviously and effectively, for two years. What Chris Wallace did was what should have been done from day one with Spicer’s lie on January 21, 2017 "That was the largest audience to witness an inauguration, period." But Trump follows lies with so many other lies the press didn’t have the chops to keep up with them and do their job. The press did not press the issue(s).

Trump builds lie upon lie into a panoply (yes, impressive) of lies. He also follows in goose steps to the propaganda doctrine attributed to #2 Nazi Joseph Goebbels “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie.” However, what is beginning is the proving of Trump’s nakedness as the King and his new clothes, thanks to Chris Wallace of Fox News, who has finally cried out from the dumb crowd “He’s naked!”. What Goebbels actually said was “A propaganda that lies proves that it has a bad cause. It cannot be successful in the long run."

Trump's cause is gradually being proved-out. We’re now getting out the measuring tape in preparation to measure the length of Trump’s run.
