Screwed?

Hillary is a fine future.

Trump is probably not so bad and interesting so as to be tempting.

America didn't just drop the ball in this election. we also shot a hole in it, and then looked down the barrel with our finger on the trigger to find out if there was another bullet in the chamber. while jumping rope.

Clinton is a moderate who would extend the progress made by the Obama Admin: an economic recovery that ranks among the best of the developed nations hit by the 2008 financial disaster, reducing the percent of Americans without health insurance to under 10 percent for the first time ever, significant restraints on the financial industry, advances in the response to global warming, taking the banking industry out of the student loan business and using the savings to expand Pell grants, regulating tobacco, shrinking the deficit by a trillion, extending Medicare's solvency by 13 years, enacting higher taxes on the very rich, and on and on. The judges she would nominate would protect minority rights, women's rights, and the public in general from private power.

And Trump? We don't really know because he's such a whack-job, and he seems unable to utter coherent sentences, much less nuanced public policy positions, but it seems like he wants to slash taxes on the already rich, end our policy of nuclear non-proliferation, start multiple trade wars, and insult anyone who disagrees with him with racial, sexist, juvenile smears.

As far as the Republican agenda goes, we know much more clearly what they support: lower wages, eliminating worker protections, cutting investments in things like education, weaken the social safety net, kick people off health insurance, let China write the rules for the global economy, let Big Oil weaken rules that protect our air and water, let big banks weaken rules that protect families from getting cheated and of course, cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans to historic lows. Which would explode the deficit, eliminating all the progress made these last 8 years.

There's a choice. It's real, and it's stark. Don't kid yourself.

Allow me a loud...

AMEN!

Still hope that she doesn't get the nomination. The Torricelli Solution is possible in which a corrupt politician is replaced at the last minute (early October) on the ballot and Lautenberg (D) replaces him and wins the Senate seat. Or that the superdelegates come to their senses.
Hate going into an election in which the BEST available candidate for me is perhaps 25% favorable. Normally someone is at least 50% agreeable.

Trae Crowder is awesome.

Thanks jpn for clearly reminding us who is the better choice in this election.

Maya is so strong that it would be easy to forget and stop fighting for our future and let Trump win or even, heaven forbid, support him after how those Republicans have been behaving.

Let's really turn it on them and make sure that they lose their Majorities this November.
