It's Biden's fault. Or, is the OP saying this is good news?

They just need more federal subsidies.

I’ll assume that you meant national since the OP linked article was about Europe, but why subsidize imports from China? If you are talking about creating (more) crony capitalism by trying to encourage more local windmill parts production (at a higher than current market price), perhaps placing tariffs on those (specific) Chinese imports could be a compromise, but the end result is having your own people paying more for “green” energy.

Currently, some 85% of the industry’s components are, however, coming from China, he said.

“The energy independence is supported by a supply-chain dependency policy. This a huge risk.”

Blanco was not only referring to rare earths, but said “normal things” such as metallic shafts in turbines, 95% of which are sourced in China.

Uh oh, looks like the green utopia wont be happening anytime soon... ;)

So, what's your solution to the energy needs of the future?
You constantly talk about being against the green revolution but what are you actually proposing?

Do you disagree with the UK's plan to utilise the abundant wind we have offshore and couple it with baseline nuclear power generation?

Your chart changes direction the second Biden was elected.
Yeah, Biden's election caused the world price of steel to triple because, uh, why?

So, what's your solution to the energy needs of the future?
Find and develop energy solutions that are cost effective and don't create a new eco-disasters or push off the polluting activity to third-world countries; like mining or tech trash dumps.

Nobody is against green energy. What people oppose is trying to implement technology that isn't ready to replace fossil fuels at 10x the price while making everyone suffer the costs of expensive and restrictive policies.

You want green energy? Get cracking on it. But don't shut off the spigot of affordable energy while you're doing R&D.

Do you disagree with the UK's plan to utilise the abundant wind we have offshore
Sounds great! What's stopping the effort?

Is it costs, deployment, and energy shortages?

and couple it with baseline nuclear power generation?
Now wait a minute. Part of this green push is getting rid of nuclear for some reason. In fact, Germany fell for it.

Germany shuts down half of its 6 remaining nuclear plants
Some in Germany have called for the decision on ending the use of nuclear power to be reconsidered because the power plants already in operation produce relatively little carbon dioxide. Advocates of atomic energy argue that it can help Germany meet its climate targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

But the German government said this week that decommissioning all nuclear plants next year and then phasing out the use of coal by 2030 won’t affect the country’s energy security or its goal of making Europe's biggest economy “climate neutral” by 2045.

Who is demanding an end to and protesting nuclear power? Tell us.

Yeah, Biden's election caused the world price of steel to triple because, uh, why?

Ripple effect of his declarations to "look in my eyes - I will end fossil fuels", Day One EO's signed to back it up, and the resulting effects on stock and commodities markets. Add to that his disastrous Infrastructure Bill, disastrous Afghan pull out, disastrous border crisis, and disastrous response to Ukraine.

We lead the world, even into the ditch.

How does any of that make the price of steel triple?

@PoS is probably a bitcoin trader trying to cybercash in on fossil fuels.

^ Entitled cornucopian mindset.

I can tell you my solution.
We utilize Nuclear, and Solar and Wind where it is viable, and store the surplus energy as carbon neutral
transport fuels, and carbon neutral CH4(Natural Gas).
The storage capability of hydrocarbons, allows the poor duty cycle sources like wind and Solar to be viable
as overall energy sources.
The problem with the existing proposals, is that they are addressing the wrong problem.
Humans do not emit CO2 because they choose to, but rather it is a byproduct of our demand for energy.
By attempting to address only the CO2 emissions, we neglect to primary problem, which is our energy demand.

There are plans to have huge hydrogen production facilities running on the power generated by the UK offshore wind farms at night when demand is low.
The main problem is any plans for an entire country like the UK take time to build no matter what you do so won't help the current situation.

Even if we decided to build new coal stations they'd take years to get planning permission and build.

We just don't have vast areas of land where you can easily just plonk down large projects as you do in the US.

Perhaps those people delaying things in the planning process should consider that when deciding to decommission plants.
I think like with Nuclear reactors, it would help to standardize the design, so the permitting would be easier
if they build to standard. We need real, viable energy policies, not hopeful ideas.

Confused again? Figures.

They just need more federal subsidies.

So you want to subsidize China now?

Price of steel...

Wind turbines aren't the only thing that might be in trouble.

"But, but they said wind power is free and costs nothing!"

So, what's your solution to the energy needs of the future?

My solutions are practical: when it comes to grids, nuclear power all the way. When it comes to vehicles, ICE is still more efficient than electric, so we stick with it until a more efficient tech is developed.

So youve gone from trolling and now youre just making up shit about people. Youve reached a new low. Congrats, I guess.
