?SMT
Stealthy Mind Thief?
Was just checking that out as came installed. Pretty cool. Shows what the controller can do for sure.Astrobot. Won game of the year 2024 for very good reason.
Sorry, I lived with someone obsessed with Play Stations 1-3. Occupied every waking minute of his time when he wasn't working beyond the point of distraction. Just trying to be fascious/funny...sorry..
Go through spurts. Dusted off the PS4 after a couple years or more, and then said,...
Doesn't seem like it's been 10+ years since PS4, but damn, sure has.
Any must plays to recommend?
Its funny cause SMT is actually a thing. Shin Megami Tensei.Sorry, I lived with someone obsessed with Play Stations 1-3. Occupied every waking minute of his time when he wasn't working beyond the point of distraction. Just trying to be fascious/funny...sorry..
Didn't mean to steal any anything....just 3 letters. Its funny cause SMT is actually a thing. Shin Megami Tensei.
Ah. No worries. 80s kid and grew on an Atari 2600. Still stayed out past curfew.Sorry, I lived with someone obsessed with Play Stations 1-3. Occupied every waking minute of his time when he wasn't working beyond the point of distraction. Just trying to be fascious/funny...sorry..
Evolved over the years, but enjoy a good story with some action. What are you into generally? Like, what genre of games have you liked?

Uncharted and Last of Us series were just damn good.
I actually loved watching him play Grand Theft Auto....he just didn't know when to stop.Ah. No worries. 80s kid and grew on an Atari 2600. Still stayed out past curfew.
Never obsessed, but have always enjoyed games/tech on and off.
Some of the games these days had my wife hooked for the story. I couldn't play without her!
Sorry you dealt with a 'basement dweller'...

Funny that! I had just stopped in to trade in some old a few days ago and grabbed GTA5. Can't recall last one I played. 3 I think(San Andreas?)I actually loved watching him play Grand Theft Auto....he just didn't know when to stop.
Actually yes, 2.Still on a PS4 pro here, but from when I've had loan of the son's 5:
Cyberpunk2077. It was well borked on its initial release but is now a lot of fun. (kind of a futuristic GTA)
No Man's Sky for galaxy wandering.
I got frustrated with it 'cos I'm stupid, but Death Loop was interesting. I only watched the son play a bit of it but Ghostwire: Tokyo I'd give a go.
Is that Alan Wake 2 you got?
Frustrating at times so far!And Astrobot.
I'm good with computer games. My last was the PS3, and I only bought it for Gran Turismo 5. When #6 came out, I bought it and didn't like the changes. Never bought games for a console since.Go through spurts. Dusted off the PS4 after a couple years or more, and then said,...

Yeah Astrobot doesn't look like a game at which I would excel. Alan Wake 1 should be going cheap*, back in the day it was an XBox exclusive, and is kinda more fun by being a bit smaller in scope.Actually yes, 2.

I got a PS5 for my son, thinking I'd be on it like crazy, but it would appear that I've gone fully to the PC gaming side.
If you ever end up playing multiplayer combat games and it's someone on a console vs someone on a mid to high end gaming rig, you'll notice the PC player will tend to win more often. I'm not into those kinds of games and I personally wouldn't spend hard earned cash to repeatedly upgrade a PC just to keep an edge in gaming but many do (including 2 of my colleagues at work). It works for them and they don't mind the cash outlay though.
Definitely a bit challenging on some timing already. Fun though.Yeah Astrobot doesn't look like a game at which I would excel.
The one I got I believe(without looking at case-not near ATM) is the deluxe edition that came with a code for download. Haven't input yet. Says additional content, but guy at store said it downloads the 1st one? Will have to see.Alan Wake 1 should be going cheap*, back in the day it was an XBox exclusive, and is kinda more fun by being a bit smaller in scope.
Haven't subscribed again yet, but sure I will.*Are you subscribed to Playstation Plus etc?
There will be a lot of free games worth downloading to see if you like, iirc should be The Long Dark, set in post-apocalyptic rural northern Canada in the winter, but in about as 'realistic' a way as you can get within the conventions. I'm pretty sure I've never played any other game in which 'cabin fever' is one of the (very customizable) difficulty settings.
On the subject of frustration and as it's on the @ajn678 's list Elden Ring went straight to #1 on my list of games I was really enjoying up until a certain point and now I never want to play again.
Yeah, not big on the online shoot em ups myself either. I'm the guy that keeps getting mowed down about 5 seconds after respawn.I'm 46, my ability to be competitive in Call of Duty wouldn't be improved if you gave me a NASA super computer...
