He is making the point, which must be too hard for democrat analyst to understand, that Putin implemented a plan by which to take control of parts of Ukraine. Russian separatist implanting into 2 regions of Ukraine so that Putin can claim the areas to be independent and give them his support and then his protections. In politics, it's important to be realistic about your opponents so they don't catch you off guard.

The reality is that Biden has managed to rally pretty much all the necessary players against Putin's aggression. And on capitol hill, the majority of both parties are behind Biden on this issue.

Biden has said very consistently that no troops will ever fight within Ukraine's borders. The problem with most like you is you just don't value democracy enough to understand why Ukraine is Americas problem as well as the rest of the democratic world.

You will go on praising Putin/Trump and fighting Biden, while the rest of us make sure Russia pays a high price for its illegal aggression. If that means we have to suffer a little at home to promote democracy, so be it. This should never be a partisan issue.

What we're seeing is an early case of the danger of China's rise.

Our western world post-WWII United Nations approach was, bad guy wants to do bad things, world unites to act against them to get them not to do it.

China becoming the world's biggest economy can say, 'don't worry about the sanctions, we'll protect you'. Bad guy continues bad things.

What's the solution to this, when the world's biggest economy has the politics of Hitler/Stalin/Mao? When we can't use economic leverage to deter them, and nuclear war means military action is ruled out?

This crisis seems it might be a sort of 'canary' showing the weakness of our global political system for supporting democracy.

It's showing we don't really have protections for countries - only for 'top tier countries', i.e. NATO members backed up by nuclear war. That is a very dangerous situation.
