I was told Obama was a Marxist and a Communist. I asked what exactly did he do to display those traits? No answer except for the same CEC-fed crap.
I was told that Democrat policies would result in another Civil War. Never happened.
I was told that Obama's Executive Orders were unconstitutional. I responded by showing all of the other Presidents who exercised EOs. Response? "But Obama is a Marxist who hates America." Quality response.
I was told that Obama loves dictators. Then I mentioned how Trump has cuddled up to Kim Jong Un, a known dictator. Same CEC-fed response.

Explain to me how a future civil war would work. What would the sides be? Who would fight and how would it be funded and organized?

In our previous Civil War, it was geographic with one defined section of the nation opposing another defined section of the nation. That is not present in any right-left division today. So what would this future conflict look like?

We have never had a civil war in the United States. The so-called 'civil war' was actually a war of secession. Civil wars are one or more factions trying to gain control through violent means.
I foresee such a war become more possible by the year. The nation is becoming more and more polarized. The basic factions are city vs country. In the city are many liberals, wanting to steal wealth and redistribute it 'fairly'. In the country are people that earn their own living, know what it is to support each other, and form communities centered around the rule of law, or constitutional law. The create wealth. They don't steal it.

There are some country liberals, and there are some city conservatives, but that's the basic line of opposition, city vs country.

gfm is making a case that if the Democrats take back the government in 2021, the likelihood of a civil war increases. It will probably take the form that I've described.

I hope such a war will never happen.
