We TOLD YOU SO back in the 1980's.

Before

After

US has work cut out for it building real economy: Greene

"Billionaire real estate investor Jeff Greene faced some harsh criticism after reports last week that he said America's lifestyle expectations are far too high and need to be adjusted"

I have an "adjustment" for the Davos people.

Bet you didn't notice that the "before" picture was of a very small house with a no-car garage, one car (you can see part of it), no cell phones. No cable TV. No satellite dish. Also there were no computer games, no internet, probably a single landline phone and get this.... back in the day, people actually bought whole food and cooked their own cheap, nutritious meals at home!

Sounds great. Why did we change it. Oh, I know, lots o
profit in the current CORPORATE clusterconnundrum, eh?

It looks pretty spartan, for sure.
It still looks better than the "after" picture.

Who is that supposed to represent, anyway?

Last I checked, buying any of that stuff is ALWAYS optional. There aren't any gangs of thugs going around coercing people into buying crap they don't want with threats of busted kneecaps.

Those are the "tent cities" popping up as deadbeats are getting their properties foreclosed. Most of them lived rent free for over a year before getting foreclosed. Makes you wonder what the f*** they're doing with their money since they didn't pay either mortgage payments or rent for a LONG time before finally getting evicted.

Life in the 50's WAS pretty spartan. As so many libs lament, "a man used to be able to support a family on any job". Yep, that's not surprising given the fact that back in those days, most women were at home instead of increasing competition in the job market. And since the bills consisted of little more than Mortgage, groceries and utilities, it was all very manageable on even a low income.

As wealth continues to be ever more concentrated in fewer and fewer individuals there will be more and more tent cities. I only hope that these people are keeping their guns for the inevitable revolution.

Well, you do think population control is important, right? Nothing would sort out population control as quick as a bunch of deadbeats trying to take by force what they didn't want to get off their ass and earn.

Yep and that is the inevitable scenario. Economic collapse is the most likely trigger for global unrest today.

Absolutely! They need to get all the billionaires into one island camp and cut their nuts
to end their lines. Let them thrive among themselves and allow the CIA to run their local
island MSM to keep them informed of how well they are doing.

Also two parents.

A stable family life is generally the best way to insure that you will meet your needs and provide for your future.

That would be easy enough. As I recall, Forbes reported that there were 50 of them in the United States. Not too many to round up and execute for crimes against humanity, huh, LOL. Power to the People, Comrade! Let us eat the rich!

I am not convinced it is "deadbeats trying to take by force what they didn't want to get off their ass and earn" as it is the vast majority finally having enough of living under an Oligarchy.

Well, good luck with the revolution, Comrade.

Women decided they needed careers which left them no time to cook which caused them to spend all the money they were making at work on baby sitters and TV dinners.

yes, that's so, and those mortgages were a lot less, even allowing for inflation, than they are now. A 3 bed, 1 bath 1400 square foot house in the burbs was the American dream back then.

And it cost five bucks to go see a doctor, without insurance.

So in your mind not wanting to live under an Oligarchy is akin to Communism?

Wanting to eat the rich is about as communist a sentiment as there is. Not wanting to live under an oligarchy is one thing. Thinking we have to take up arms against "the rich" is another thing. Don't conflate the two.

Except that the rich are the oligarchy, doesn't matter if you live in Cuba, Russia or the good old USA.
