An American GI assigned to one of the harshest posts in Iraq had a simple request last week for a Wisconsin mattress company: send some floor mats to help ease the hardship of sleeping on the cold, bug-infested ground.

What he got, instead, was a swift kick from the company's Web site, which not only refused the request but added insult to injury with the admonition, "If you were sensible, you and your troops would pull out of Iraq."

Army Sgt. Jason Hess, stationed in Taji, Iraq, with the 1st Cavalry Division, said he emailed his request to Discount-mats.com because he and his fellow soldiers sleep on the cold ground, which contains sand mites, sand flies and other disease carriers...

Khetani on Monday told FOX News that the person responsible for the email reply had been fired. The Web site, meanwhile, has been temporarily taken down.

Typical jerk. He insulted the troops and hurt his employer. He got fired over it. Hope it was worth it.

Support the troops! Start giving to those troops on welfare and heading toward economic oblivion or a hardship such as lack of a mattress--to say you support them and give nothing $ubstantial is just something you say to prop up your bogus loaded political beliefs and values which you think is a weapon but is in all truth--a wet noodle. I believe the real point to all this is why are military personnel having to buy for themselves the equipment that should be provided to them by the military. Nobody seems to be upset that those unfortunate individuals are having to spend what meager pay they receive on equipment that should be supplied by the government. I guess if you were to go there then you would have to question the validity of the Appoint...I mean Presidents claim that he "cares about the troops." I'm sure all of those mercenaries that work for companies like Blackwater and Haliburton have all the best equipment provided for them thanks to all of those multi-million dollar no bid contracts that DR. Evil...I mean VP Cheney handed to there bosses. Not to mention, they "earn" ten times what the soldiers do. I guess that all is completely over looked by such reputable news organizations like Faux News.
