"We will kill all you western infidels. We will bring death & destruction to you. Allah is great."

Just testing.
In theory I will be tracked down as being in breach of the new anti terror laws for saying what I did.
I didn't mean it, but if I had meant it, I would deserve to be prosecuted.
I want to know why we've had to wait so long for the new anti terror laws anounced today ?
For years, these evil immams have been allowed to stand in the streets & Mosques of London & preach hatred like this.
They are still here & most of them are on DSS benefits & living in council houses.
It makes me mad :2mad:
I say.. drop them back over Mecca without parachutes.
They should have been kicked out of the UK years ago. In fact they should never have been let in. Shame the politicians didn't listen to the overwhelming majority of the British public who never wanted immigration in the 1st place.

I agree, but I think you know exactly why they were allowed to do this for so long. It has been the left in your country that has allowed this to happen, and it's about time you people see how far tolerance should be applied in a country. The world has changed, and as much as we would like to trust everyone, they reality is that there are some who want to kill as many of us as they can. As the world changes, we must change with it, and your country is now making some rational, long over due changes as we speak, and you will be safer for it.;)

Thought I'd get a quick response to that shocking thread title :2razz:
Well at least we agree on one thing. But I don't know that I'd say it's the 'left'.
Doesn't the word 'left' relate more to economic Philosophies.. ie Capitalist v Socialist.

I think instead this has been allowed for so long by the liberal people obsessed with the freedoms & human rights of villains & hate stirrers, at the expense of the vast majority of law abiding public.
Heck if the police want to put up more security cameras for example in public places, then I don't mind, but then I'm not a vandal or thief or a terrorist.

Where the liberals go wrong is the freedoms & civil liberties they try to maintain seem only to be of benefit to law breakers.
So ultimately the liberals are infringing my civil liberties instead by impairing my right not to have to worry about whether I'm going to get & find my home's been burgled or whether I'm going to be attacked or get blown up by some terrorist maniac.

The question is Robin will it change anything? I can't see how. Can you see how?

These men can have other avenues of communication.

I can see how it will help.
I mean if some pathetic loner saddo inept failure in every aspect of life such as the failed shoe bomber Richard Read hadn't got sucked into the Muslim extremist Bull5hit by that crowd then that would have been one terrorist less for a start.

Here's a bit more info on this:
Tony Blair has outlined a raft of plans to extend powers to deport or exclude foreigners who encourage terrorism.

The UK can already exclude or deport those who pose a threat to security and Mr Blair said he also wanted to clamp down on those who advocated terror.

The prime minister said he was prepared to amend human rights laws to make deportations more straightforward.

On the new anti-terror package, Mr Kennedy warned that plans to ban Muslim organisations, powers to close mosques and deport people who "visit particular bookshops and websites" risked "inflaming tensions and alienating people".
PLANNED MEASURES

Home secretary to consider deporting any foreigner involved in listed extremist centres and websites

Make justifying or glorifying terrorism anywhere an offence

Automatically refuse asylum to anyone with anything to do with terrorism

Examine calls for police to be able to hold terror suspects for longer before pressing charges

Use more control orders against British terror suspects

Create a list of preachers who will be kept out of the UK

The truly scary thing about Richard Reid was that his attempt may have just been a "test run." Imagine if it hadn't been discovered in time and the next time they sent out 20 or 30 homicide shoe bombers. Al Queda is always probing for our weaknesses. They had a free ride in England for far too long. It is time to call a halt to this nonsense.

Hmm, this poses a tricky problem for me...

...its true that terrorism needs to be addressed at the heart, and steps taken to prevent terrorists being made but something about this doesn't sit well with me. I can see the need for, and support, legislation for expelling terrorist advocaters, denying entrance to asylum seekers with terrorist background etc, but the powers to close mosques, Muslim organisations and deport people who vist particular bookshops? As prudent as that maybe I have to agree with Kennedy *shudders* that this rather then cut a problem may only inflame it.

Don't get me wrong, I support removing terrorists, but this does seem to be creeping into police state tactics.

Do yourself a favor. Do a google and check out "Palmer Raids" and "Emma Goldman" and then ask yourself if Blair's proposals are out of line.

Yeah yeah, I know about the Palmer Raids and I know Blair is no paranoid Muslim hating leader, believe it or not I support the guy in the majority of his policies. Like I said the majority of this legislation seems okay by me, but the power to expel people for going into particular bookshops? close down organisations, even if they are non-violent? It seems a little extreme to me, but I'll have to see how Clarke uses these powers.

I think a lot of people know about the Palmer Raids but few know how draconian they were. If a person merely disagreed with the national policy they were picked up and jailed and many were thrown out of the country. The Emma Goldman story fits in well there as well. It is quite interesting toward the end of her life how her views evolved and particularly where she chose to be buried.

You can't have total freedom.
Total freedom = anarcy.
The terroists have been protected by human rights laws for too long.
Now hopefully the show is over.
The annoying thing is I've only heard Muslims on the news moaning about the new laws.
Well if they don't want to respect this countries laws they can always **** off back to Mecca.

So if I said as a white British citizen that "The Queen deserves to be shot, I hate her, I hate the way Britain is doing things." That I will be deported from this country?

Seems kinda dodgy to me personally. Or are white Christians exempt this new policy? Up until recently it was white Christains who used terrorism against Britain.

Are you a naturalized Englishman or a native born Englishman? Would make a big difference. I've never heard of native born people anywhere being deported anywhere. Where would they be deported to?

Mmmmm, Australian surfers! On my to-do list - upset the Queen soon.

Seriously, I have very mixed feelings about the whole thing. Yes, we need to try and get rid of terrorists, but if we seriously erode our own freedoms in the process, then they've won. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, I think.

What exactly do you mean? If you were born in England, then you are an Englishman. We don't speak UKz by the way. What is this political correct crap anyway?

The UK = England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

GarzaUk is British, but he is, I believe from Northern Ireland, so he is also Irish.

I am British, but I am from England , so I'm also English.

Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales.

Simple, and not at all politically correct. ;)

I prefer Northern Irish, but I don't really mind being called Irish lol - its easier to pull foreigners when you say your Irish (since no-one really knows what Northern Ireland is). I'm Northern Irish first, British second, European third.

It's complicated Missouri, my kind in the North of Ireland are a relic of Imperialism. I am technically a British settler of Ireland (my ancesters were), we have English and Scottish names and a British culture, however we have sexy Irish accents lol.

wow Naughty, you said a mouthful. That is the very argument alot of people have against the Patriot Act. In the name of security, the government is toting the line of the Constitution, in some cases crossing it. Meanwhile, the terrorists are sitting in their caves laughing because they have us "running scared".

I saw a brief story on CNBC as they were doing headlines, that it is imminent that our driver's licenses will become national id cards, supposedly to make it harder for illegal's to get one without the proper documents, etc. Hmmmm I wonder what that would do to a state like NY who's already said it is unconstitutional to deny an illegal a driver's license?

Whatever happened to "Great Britain?" It wasn't the "Battle of the UK"; you know the air battle that kept England from falling to the Nazis in 1940.

UK just sounds so politically correct it reeks. I've heard of English people who don't want to be called English. That's what gets my goat. The British Lion ruled the world one time. Be proud. Don't hide it under some bushel and be afraid to proclaim your past and present greatness. There is probably not a country on earth that has more impact on the world than England; even America. We were founded by Englishmen, after all. We got into a spot of difficulty along about 1776 but that was in large part due to King George III's insanity. If he hadn't been so hell bent on being stupid we might never have broken away.
