We have the elite Republicans, the elite Democrats, and the working-class voters who support Donald Trump.

The Elite Democrats and the elite Republicans have run things for a very long time.

A few people tried to form third parties that could compete but the two majors made sure the third parties could not compete.

The elite Democrats battle the elite Republicans to see who runs the country but when push comes to shove they stand together against anyone who represented the working people.

Donald Trump decided against trying to form a new party. Instead, he tried to take over the Republican Party.

Covid allowed the Major media to give Biden the Presidency. I think Biden did care about the working man but he was totally indebted to the elite for his power and he knew they would bury him if he didn't repay those debts.

So Biden rolled back all of Trump's pro-American, pro-working people changes.

There are always "unintended consequences".

Now a clear line has been drawn between the three groups.

The elite of both parties hates Trump more than they dislike each other. They will not allow Trump to win.

However, if either of the elite parties wants to win, they have to attract some of Trump's voters.

Trump could come in first if he could pull more of the working-class voters away from the Elite-Democrats.
Still, he could not get 50% of the vote. (Or the Delegates.)

The Republicans, without Trump's folks, are doomed. They would come in a distant third.

The Elite Democrats would finish ahead of the Elite Republicans.
They would then make some kind of deal with the Elite Republicans which would put Biden in the White House for another term.

Of course, if Biden keeps messing up maybe Trump could pull off an upset.

If Biden does win again, and if he takes America to the bottom, our people just might wake up and leave both of the elite parties behind.

A third party would be fun but my guess is that Trump will again try to take the old Republican party from the elites.

For political junkies, the next two and a half years will be exciting.

Nope.
We have Dems, Repubs and independents, and the independents mostly fall into left or right leaning independents, both of which together dwarf the base of the Dems and Repubs.

It is comical you believe that Donald Trump gives even half a rat's ass about the working man.

The only political faction that actually does are those unfortunately too few economic progressives in the Dem party.

It really isn't as complicated as you make it out to be.

1. Republican Party. You have the GOP Elites, who have some power. You have the GOP rank and file, who have more power. It's going to come to a showdown to see who decides the presidential nominee. I put my money on the rank and file. (If I were a gambler.)

2. The Democratic Party. You have the Dem Elites. They have ALL the power. The rank and file does what they say. Period. The question is, will the Dem Elites prop up Slo-Joe again? Or will they cast him aside and choose another puppet.

There is no other party worth mentioning.

Regarding the election, itself, if Trump runs, he will be President again...unless the Trump haters steal the election again or unless they kill him.

Trump is a NYC, Ivy League educated, serial adulterer who inherited wealth. He is the definition of East Coast elite. To help the average man Trump lowered the capital gains tax, and...

For the wealthy, banks, and other corporations, the tax reform package was considered a lopsided victory given its significant and permanent tax cuts to corporate profits, investment income, estate tax, and more. Financial services companies stood to see huge gains based on the new, lower corporate rate (21%), as well as the more preferable tax treatment of pass-through companies.3 Some banks said their effective tax rate would drop under 21%.

The law cut corporate tax rates permanently and individual tax rates temporarily. It permanently removed the individual mandate—a key provision of the Affordable Care Act—which was likely to raise insurance premiums and significantly reduce the number of people with coverage.8 The highest earners were expected to benefit most from the law, while the lowest earners were believed to pay more in taxes once most individual tax provisions expire after 2025.

Someone please explain to me how this helps the average man.

Why? What does this have to do with the thread topic or the OP's statements?

we don't have three viable parties in the vast majority of situations. in some state and local races, the dominant party runs uncontested, at least in my state.

Trump's an immoral fraudulent con man who has found many ways to make politics personally profitable. His base are the same people who used to hand fists-full of money to snake-oil salemen at the circus sideshow.
This is how Trump got elected- if you are just average intelligence exactly half the population is dumber than you and Trump was elected by less than half the population.
It's no more complicated than that.

Trump stole an election. He squeezed through a loophole into the White House when most Americans voted against him.

LMAO - I almost had to unpack my hip waders to get through that steaming pile. Where on earth do you get these silly ideas?
Is that you, John Baron?

There is nobody more "Elite" than Trump, and there is nobody more fraudulent, from everything he says, to everything he thinks, to everything he does. The man is a FRAUD! He was born with a Platinum spoon in his mouth, and has done absolutely nothing in his life that indicates any connection to working class people, anywhere on earth. His entire life has been failure forward for his business ventures, one after another, time after time, being bailed out by his father, or bankers who bought his bullshit, until he lost all their support for non payment, and had to go to Russia to guarantee his loans through Deutsche Bank, because no American banks would touch him anymore. He's a charlatan. He's the P.T. Barnum of American politics, capitalizing at every turn on the principle that "there's one born every minute" - and he's talking about you! Time and time again, his properties were used in money laundering schemes, including his casinos, one of which, Trump Taj Mahal, was fined $10,000,000 (that's TEN MILLION DOLLAR$) for exactly that. Money laundering. His alleged university, "Trump University", was shut down by the law for fraud. His foundation "The Trump Foundation", was shut down by the law for fraud. He is arguably the least genuine person in all of politics, and the very idea that he would be the choice of the average working man is breathtaking insult to the average working man.

All that aside, how's that "much better, much cheaper" Trump healthcare plan working out for you?

Trump can split the Conservative vote if he wants that side to be out of power for a generation.
I'm pretty sure the Dems will be fine with that.

We've seen it happen a few times where infighting from the Conservatives or Labour have left them unelectable in the UK so if Republicans want that then fine.

your boy is an 'also ran'...

In 2008, Barack Obama earned 69,498,516 votes in the presidential election, the most ever.
Now, Mr. Obama's former vice president, Joe Biden, has far surpassed that tally,
setting a new record with more than 81,284,000 votes
(51.3% of the total) in the 2020 election.

I thought the 3 major political parties in America were "Dumbasses", "Jackasses" and "Just Plain Lunatics" (each interchangeable).

Really interesting analysis. I think Trump's age will determine if this comes to fruition. Perhaps DeSantis will step in and continue.

I'm still amazed that this many adult men can be conned by an old con man from Manhattan.
