"Sen. Tester also issued a strongly worded statement, lamenting an “eleventh-hour act of cowardice” and saying: “Republicans chose today to rob generations of toxic-exposed veterans of the healthcare and benefits they so desperately need – and make no mistake, more veterans will suffer and die as a result.”

I'm disgusted. I cannot believe this.

25 Senators voted for this bill a month ago. After returning from the house, 25 Republican senators reversed their position and voted against care for veterans who were exposed to toxic elements in pit fires.

Does it have to be said that these vets suffered while serving our country?

The republican party? This is the party they have become?

How do like their version? They denied benefits to toxic pit victims because they didn't expect Manchin to agree with the bill, and they didn't get a chance to make amendments.

They are trying to govern by spite?

The same Senators voted for the same bill a month ago. This is today's Republican party.

They only love the ones who weren't captured.

On another thread on this same topic one of the resident Righties blamed the Democrats. I am still waiting for some of those Righties to blame Biden, Pelosi, Socialists, George Soros and BLM for this failure.

Congress is just getting around to addressing tainted water at Camp LeJeune from the 1950s thru the mid 1980s.

Rats, I looked and I didn't see the thread.

Conservatives are not going to give democrats ANY breaks a mere 60+ days before a major ass kicking.

Democrats are desperately trying to pass ANYTHING they can to claim they did something other than chase Trump's farts.

Republicans treat veterans like they do newborn babies. They love active troops and they love fetuses, but once they move on, they treat them like shit.

Republicans are showing that Senate procedures are more important than our vets. They're willing to hurt vets to win the midterms.

Conservatives are more than happy to throw veterans under the bus due to their fear and hatred of them, we know.
