The statement The United States is not a Christian nation is just a reciting of the Muslim/atheist’s Tripoli treatment interpretation. The US used exactly the same wording according to the Muslim/atheist’s Tripoli treatment interpretation. Soon after that the USMC was tearing apart Muslim sea pirates, the ones who were assured - according to atheistic beliefs - that the US was not a Christian nation, the ones whose piracy have been defended by the “peaceful” Muslim of DP Laila with such a militant rage.
Treaty of peace and Friendship between the United States and the Bey and Subjects of Tripoli of Barbary.Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
The concept of binary calculations used in writing software (when absence of software makes a computer to be a piece of junk metal and plastic), was developed by a Christian creationists scientist and mathematician Leibniz. Actually he was not a scientist and mathematician ( one of most fundamental ones) but he was a Christian theologian; scientific and mathematical achievements (one of the greatest) were byproducts of his thoughts about God. Atheists shouldn’t use computers.
Obama was 100% right. Its refreshing to have a President who actually understands and respects the US Constitution.
i hear this statement a lot. If all the christians are leading christ-like lives, kinda makes me wonder where all the sin is coming from.
Unless some of those christians are lying......
So which of your friends are liars?exactly!!!!
Does this mean the Hebrews invented fractions?Everyman with a penis is familiar with the number one.
Most "Christians" I know don't have a clue as to what true Christian values are.
Why don't you enlighten us as to what "true Christian values are?" (And are you a Christian?)
Thanks!
If you REALLY want to know. Pick up a copy of the New Testament and read it.
Or there is a great book about Christ written by a Mormon..."Jesus the Christ". It does contain some Mormon doctrine, but is an excellent account of Christ's life.
True Christian values would be not only those values that Christ spoke of, but also those that he lived by example.
There are the basics - "Being a good person", "Serving you fellow mankind", "Turning the other cheek", "Forgiveness"
"Humbleness/Meekness".
The problem that I see with the VAST majority of fundamentalist "Christians" is that they have lost their way with any of these teachings. Their churches have become a political pulpit lead by a large number of "Pharisees" who use the name of Christ to pursue a right-wing political agenda...attempting to infiltrate their version of Christianity into the public square. They are way too focused on Abortion and anti-gay rights that they lose sight of the big picture.
I think Christ would take one step into many of these churches and turn around and walk out.
-Almost 90% of Americans consider themselves Christian.
-We celebrate Christmas, while Jewish, Islamic, and BS, made up holidays like Kwanzaa are tolerated as minority holidays.
-We don't allow polygamy...something Islam embraces, but Christianity opposes.
-We were un-mistakably founded by Anglo-Saxon Christians.
-Our laws derive directly from Judeo-Christian teachings. Several of the ratifying states had official state religions.
-The left's alleged poster boy for their "Church and State" myth, Thomas Jefferson, proposed for our national seal an image of Moses parting the Red Sea, under the inscription, "Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God."
It goes on and on. The only people who don't acknowledge that this is a Christian nation are people like Obama, who hate it and want to change everything about it.
So much useless hate.
92 percent of Americans believe in a higher power. Have a fun life being so hateful of the vast majority of your fellow citizens.Thankyou for replying to his post. I couldnt bring myself to go down to his level.
I dont associate myself with religion because religion is purely for gullable zombies who need to believe in a higher divine to feel like they have a purpose, and because im a rational peaceful person. Nonetheless, i too celebrate christmas, so that point is pretty much invalid. And you have nothing to support your claims that 90% of americans are christians, thats a load of crap you just threw out there.
I run Linux.
An interesting idea.
The Babylonians invented the Zero.
Everyman with a penis is familiar with the number one.
Therefore, one could argue, using your line of reasoning,
that the binary system is the product of gay babylonians and since the Babylonians had nothing to do with the Hebrews, then God had nothing to do with computer technology at all.
As an irrational number? It is not clear whether you are establishing a visual reference of a shape or an abstract reference of a number 1. How then do you refer to a vagina?
We are confronting the inaccurate connotation that this nation is Christian because it's always been that way and/or the majority of the populace that has participated in a poll say they are. .
As an irrational number?
How do you figure, given that this thread has veered sharply into the relentlessly ridiculous?I am not saying at all that your question is lacking a rational and facts behind it, but I am afraid you are wondering away from the subject.
let me repeatWow. It took over 90 posts before someone brought this up.
This was ratified by the US Senate....when many if not most of the Senators were also the "Founding Fathers". Certainly most of the "founders" were still alive.
The United States is not a "christian nation".

If Jesus were to be strolling in America today he'd probably vomit on a regular basis to see how his Sacrifice has been exploited and mangled to support nearly everything he taught against and gave his life for.
