Yes, we do indeed form our own values. Yes, some values are better than others. Freedom is better than slavery. Empathy is better than apathy. Generosity is better than greed.
When a man or woman choose to align themselves with people who constantly demonstrate a lack of decent core values, that reflects on them as a person. It shows the rest of the world what is important to them and what is not.
Many Democrats defended Bill Clinton who lacked decent core values.
Some no doubt did. That was before my time as a voter.
Though I think anyone being honest Clinton's failings as a husband pale in comparison to the deluge of ugliness we have seen from Donald Trump. The belittling of the disabled. A draft dodger mocking the heroism of a man who spent years as a POW and was crippled. The rampant sexist comments directed towards women. Not just cheating on his wives, but bragging about it. 13.5 lies a day for years on end. It's a dumpster fire.
