Was Trump the greatest president ever?

it is still a lie. He killed no one. and someone who watches someone drown is not necessarily liable or blameworthy. Someone who is drunk and hits a bus is guilty of manslaughter or homicide. Try again

I see that you still -don't- -won't- refuse to understand the distinction.

A guy who faked bone spurs to get out of serving. These type of illustrations never cease to amuse me
and confuse me as to who people propagating this type of image think they are fooling, other than themselves?

<SARC>Mr. Trump never said that he had bone spurs. Mr. Trump went to the best doctor that his family's money could buy in order to obtain as medical report on his condition. That medical report was the best medical report that his family's money could buy. That medical report said that Mr. Trump had bone spurs. Mr. Trump is not a medical doctor and cannot know from his own knowledge whether or not he had bone spurs. The medical report said that Mr. Trump had bone spurs and Mr. Trump took the word of the doctor who wrote a medical report saying that Mr. Trump had bone spurs. If the doctor lied to Mr. Trump about whether Mr. Trump had bone spurs - surely that isn't something that you can fault Mr. Trump (who didn't hire the doctor) for.

Do you really believe that Mr. Trump (a man so dedicated to doing his patriotic duty that he held the office of President of the United States of America) would have shirked his patriotic duty had he known that he did not have bone spurs</SARC>?

That is NOT in accord with the Official Handbook of Acceptable Positions issued by "Claque Failed Casino Operator" in January 2017, or the October 2017 edition, or the October 2018 edition, or the October 2019 edition, or the October 2020 edition.

There was no waning of the COVID-19 pandemic under Mr. Trump.

"All of those things would have happened with the pandemic waning, regardless of who was elected to the White House."
Where did I mention anything about the 'Trump White House'?

Regardless, the pandemic is waning, clearly (or is this what you are disputing?).

The timing of the pandemic waning just happened to happen during the Biden administration. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know what is the bigger joke-this question or the one that suggests Biden might end up being "greater" than FDR. (of course many people see FDR as the greatest while many see him as the worst-in terms of his legacy)
Who? Why? He inherited this mess. DJIA closed at 41 in early July, 1932, there was 25 percent unemployment. The Hoover "policy" was "liquidate". There were runs on the banks and on the building & loans, ala George Bailey in Capra's film.
The alternative was Huey Long. FDR saved concentrated wealth from having its throat slit and hung upside down like Mussolini and his gal. SSA.gov knows who its daddy was! You apparently don't.

"The story of an angst-filled Hoover quietly squirreling away funds while lecturing the country about the moral necessity of keeping the banks open is one of the pleasures of Eric Rauchway's Winter..."

FDR was the establishment (as Trump is... see 2017 tax cuts) that staved off truly BIG GOVERNMENT. Are you really naive enough to believe the former governor of the state Wall Street is located in was a populist and not a "fixer" attempting to extract the best deal he could for the wealthiest and most powerful?

I believe Huey Long was a great man.
Assassinated and died from bad medical care.
No one looked at his urine for red blood cells!

He failed by every reasonable metric. He was a buffon as well. And Lazy. Seriously, apart from spouting garbage that made white people 'feel' good about hating everyone else, he did bugger all.

The poll is missing a third option, 'f*** no'. I would have chosen that but had to settle for just 'no'.

I don't disagree. He brought affordable education, or any at all, to the poorest Louisiana children of all races during an era when no one
else even considered doing such a thing. His personality, tactics, and methods were ideally suited to what he managed to accomplish, vast improvement of Louisiana infrastructure and national social safety net that has endured through the present day.

His name strikes fear in the hearts of today's Hooverites, so extreme they "know" FDR was a socialist. So extreme, they are not even satisfied with this.: (What would satisfy them? Perhaps a wealth distribution status quo closer to the one in India?)

Senator/Governor Huey Long Accomplishments

In 1908, upon completing the eleventh grade, Huey Long circulated a petition protesting the addition of a 12th-grade to the curriculum as a graduation requirement, which resulted in his expulsion. Long won a debating scholarship to Louisiana State University, but he was unable to afford the textbooks required for attendance.

Earl Long, for example, gave Louisiana school children hot lunches. His brother Huey gave them free text books. Davis gave the state a civil service system that, while not perfect, was designed to protect workers from a political spoils system.

another Phil Spector post. Hughey Long was "assassinated" . In reality, his own bodyguards shot him. I don't think there was much worry about a scumbag like him taking over

The only thing trump got through congress where tax cuts for rich people.

A man making a million dollars a year saw $69,900 a year in tax savings and that's every year, forever.

That and he defunded the IRS so the IRS can't police taxes. Rich people don't have to pay since nobody is checking on them.

But that's it. trump didn't do anything else.

I just can't laugh at those pictures. They make me want to barf.
I can laugh at the pictures and barf when people take them seriously, preferably on their shoes.

Funny, fdr was the worst, then obama was the worst and now biden is the worst ever. You guys on the right can't seem to make up your minds about anything.
Woodrow Wilson was hands down, the worst, most destructive president in US history.

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit." - Woodrow Wilson

FDR, Obama and Biden are/were awful presidents - - yes. Bottom 10 for sure. But the worst? No.

Not true. Trump's one great talent is to make everything worse. He botched the pandemic response. He botch testing. He botched ventilator distribution. He botched PPE distribution. He botched the vaccine distribution. If he had been re-elected, he would have continued botching the vaccine rollout and the death toll would have continued climbing.

In specific, I refer you to Page 4, which states:

The totality of the improvement is solely due to the current administration, neither any previous administration nor any naturally occurring event have anything whatsoever to do with any improvement.

Any deterioration, however, is solely due to previous administrations and/or naturally occurring events over which the current administration has absolutely no control.

However, should the current administration NOT be one led by Donald John Trump (BBHN) then the totality of the improvement is solely due to the prescient actions of Donald John Trump (BBHN) and neither any previous administration nor any naturally occurring event have anything whatsoever to do with any improvement.

Any deterioration, however, is solely due to current administration's incompetence, bungling, and downright traitorous activities and would not have happened had Donald John Trump (BBHN) not been illegally deprived of his lawful position as the President of the United States of America and God's Vicar on Earth.

I think his greatness was in the same vein's as that of Napoleon Bonaparte's. Napoleon certainly had paved roads, bridges, modern hospitals and universities. Many autocrats throughout history have provided such largesse to the people whose lives they controlled. For all the benefit he provided to his subjects, he was deeply corrupt, self-serving and he was open and notorious of the fact that he was above rule of law and traditional restraints on power.

I personally did not enjoy watching 500k Americans die for “entertainment.”
Me, neither. That's why I said Trump should not have been in the presidency but was okay in pop entertainment. As an entertainer, he would not have had the status of actual president and had the lethal effect.

Of course, it's not clear why all those Trumpies believed in Pizzagate and Q - I guess perhaps some entertainers could be really dangerous without being president.

TRUMP WAS A PRESIDENT
WITH NATIONALIST POLICIES.

He encouraged similar nationalism
by all nations' leaders.

HOW REFRESHING!
An 🇺🇸 president who believes his primary duty
is to look out for 🇺🇸 first & always.

And he stimulated the 🇺🇸 economy via nationalism
as I have not witnessed since Reagan.

True?

I've been here since Ike. And IMHO, out of all of them......... Trump was by far the most obnoxious, arrogant, bigoted, xenophobic, ignorant, conceited and divisive POS ever to hold sway over the nuclear codes.
But you have to admit he was REALLY good at it. Am I right?
