That is one happy man on his birthday, just look at that...frown. Check out the other folks who look so happy to be there.
Was Someone Trolling Trump by Playing Creedence’s Draft-Dodger-Slamming ‘Fortunate Son’ at His Military Parade? Or Is It Just the Further Death of Irony?
Was the music for Saturday’s military parade in Washington, D.C. covertly programmed by the “No Kings” movement? That’s the question some were asking on social media after the event, spearheaded by President Donald J. Trump, which featured the repeated playing of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s...www.yahoo.com
That would not surprise me at all. Trump is the dumbest smart person I know. He may know how to manipulate people and lie like there's no tomorrow, but he is not a leader by any stretch of the imagination and he's a horrible businessman. Forty or fifty million for that parade, we was robbed.Trump probably asked for it, thinking it meant how fortunate he is, not understanding at all what the song means.
How can he not?Trump probably asked for it, thinking it meant how fortunate he is, not understanding at all what the song means.
How can he not?
The article says the song was played at his older rallies. The meaning was publicized after it happened. Either Trump or his handlers all got amnesia about it or DGAF because Trump likes the beat. Or something.Trump probably asked for it, thinking it meant how fortunate he is, not understanding at all what the song means.

Yeah, and hasn't he played this before during his campaign? I'm pretty sure I remember that and the obvious irony, but he probably never bothered to listen to the lyrics. He probably isn't a lyrics guy.Trump probably asked for it, thinking it meant how fortunate he is, not understanding at all what the song means.

Yeah, he came down the steps from a plane with that playing.Yeah, and hasn't he played this before during his campaign? I'm pretty sure I remember that and the obvious irony, but he probably never bothered to listen to the lyrics. He probably isn't a lyrics guy.
No, they are just that stupid.Yeah, he came down the steps from a plane with that playing.
It's amazing. Almost seems like sabotage from within.
"cool riff man!"Yep. He probably just hears 'fortunate one' and goes on in his mind to think how wonderful he is.
"cool riff man!"
Or just a simpleton who assumed he's a "fortunate son", never read the lyrics, and is surrounded by sycophants too scared to tell him what the song is about. My money's on that guess. Kind of like if Queen Elizabeth II had played the Sex Pistol's "God Save the Queen" whenever she showed up to an event.Yeah, he came down the steps from a plane with that playing.

These are the same people who called a press conference "at the Four Seasons" and sent everyone to a landscaping company instead of The Four Seasons Hotel.
If there is one certainty about this regime, it's that it will collapse under sheer incompetence.
Love it. I was in a rock band after the war with other 'Nam vets. This was one of our go to songs.Or Is It Just the Further Death of Irony?
